This is a gift art to a friend. His flame-throwing character, Kamakazie Kamaro!(isn't that name just so cool?)

This really reminds me of Shadow except it's purple with blue things and the costume looks like Vash's. The BG ROCKS! But the shadow of the nose KINDA KINDA seems wierd (to me). Nah don't take anything that I say.
MC.Cracka (Oct 30, 2003)
the lines on the right ear are a little messed but besides that great pic
Doodlibop (Nov 6, 2003)
to be very honest Neko Sama, I was a little hesitant to put the shadow there, but I had to be somewhat realistic there. so ya. heh heh sorry bout that ^_^;
and yeah I did mess up, thank you for pointing it out *sarcasm* lol, no seriously, thanks for the comment.
_Neko_Sama_ (Mar 13, 2004)
Again with the realistic thing! I just do shadowing my way which really sucks, which is very unlike yours. If it's one thing I hate to do, it's coloring... I luv it still though wich I forgot to add in my earlier comment. *here Marcello I took your advice; cold turkey is quite appetizing. I wonder if I spelled appetizing wrong someone plz tell me!*

Thanks yall. :)

Oooh, more pictures of the home of my heart! You have a real gift for rendering this kind of scene, Cindy! :) There are two points that I have to question, though, for future reference (again, not that I could do this myself, but I can tell that these two points don't look quite right -- my eye being better at this than my hands, as yet, at least).

First, the ripples in the dry wash of the path seem to me to be too consistently angled, instead of following the curves of the path, the way I'd expect them to, if they were caused by water running over the mud during flood time (which is what I think of when I see that kind of image). They'd make more sense if there were a way for the water to have acted on the land outside of the path, the same way, but with the wall there, I'd expect the water to be restricted to the path more, and curve to follow it, during flash floods.

Second, the tufts of greenery on the bush don't seem to have a correlary set of darker areas, within the shadow of the bush, so it looks to me like the shadow is of a bush that doesn't have as much foliage on it as this one does.

These are both fairly minor points though, which I offer only in order to point out directions in which you can continue to work on advancing your work, which is already spectacular, and VERY evocative of the landscapes you've been painting. <smile> As you may be able to tell, what I've seen so far has been enough to spur me to go back through the pictures in your user board, in order to see more of these pieces! <grin> But even great artists can still grow, and I hope I've offered some useful suggestions for your consideration, here. :)
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 13, 2004)
sure, always, I appreciate all the helpful suggestions. (Actually, it doesn't rain often where this was taken from and it's very windy, so I assume the ripples were caused by the wind since the sand changes rapidly - although the rain does a number on this wash when it does happen)

If I had known I was going to have to post this in advanced for the space I would have done it bigger.

Of course it's obvious thug, and I always think you're funny. Umm, "Yeah, thug, man you're dense! Isn't it obvious I'm from New York?" lol Okay, I love my state. Can't help it.

meh...texas. =P
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Mar 10, 2004)
Gotta have it in your blood to understand.
Harmanye (Mar 10, 2004)
Texas *shudder*
It's like being in a permanent heat wave, no I like it here in Illinois. Snow is good.
But Texas has made me entertaining. Yes, kids at camp are greatly amused by my Illinois/British/Texan 'accent'.

But About the picture. 'Tis lovely as always, wonderful shading, and the folding is amazing *yes*

Originally for a wallpaper I'm making.... that I didn't make.
The current one is too bright. ~__~;

Note: Thanks for sending it in Cello! It would've been 4-ish hours of work for nothing is you didn't fix it. -__-;

davincipoppalag (Feb 19, 2004)
This is cool.. I like that there are no clouds because it gives more oomph to the snow spray coming from the board.. this is very well done...

Okay...now how long till finally finishing this? Sad sad... *laughs*

oh well. Pooami...comin' at ya.
davincipoppalag (Mar 8, 2004)
Nice colors and lighting...maybe in the background some shapes that suggest stalactites and stalagmites..like shes coming out of a cave...? they can be dark..without alot of extra detailing..and I think would add to the picture and go with your title.. just a thought
Look (Mar 8, 2004)

To Brushes: I hope that this does the memory of your mother, and the love you have for your children justice. I find that alot of people associate redbirds with someone who was very dear to them, usually the person who taught them to love. My grandmother loves them, and it was one of the first things we painted together when I was little.

wow! DBA! i love this! you are an inspiration to bird lovers everywhere :D
EverDream (Mar 4, 2004)
This is really good DBA! You did exceptional work on the background. My only pick with this is the tip of the beak doesn't seem to fit being rounded like that....kinda like it belongs on a different species...you might want to try sharpening the edge more, making it more straight. Other than that everything else is awesome! :D
foxman8245 (Mar 4, 2004)
Love this pic... so realistic.. and the Cardinal is my state bird. (Ohio)

well that was fun. i just realized i have no good ideas for a background.
davincipoppalag (Feb 22, 2004)
Well I like what you put there.. it gives it a sort of samoan feel... the BG looks like the kind of patterns they have in the south Pacific islands on tapa cloth etc.. I think it worked nicely
foxman8245 (Feb 28, 2004)
hey.. like the bg here!!!
fleeting_memory (Mar 2, 2004)
Very realistic but somehow kinda freaky-cause its like a wild boar and its on my screen *runs AHHHHHHHHHHH!*

Je amour toi. Je suis amoureux avec toi. Je veux voir toi. Je veux toucher toi. Je veux tater toi. Je veux serrer toi dans ses bras. Je veux baiser toi. Je veux toi. Je veux suis avec toi. Suis mine, toujours...

(for people who can read this, I'm sorry that I have bad grammar and probably misspelt a lota stuff... )
(and if you can't read it, it's not bad, it's just ..... weirdness...)
(and if u can read it... Your thinking that I'm really obsessed... or something...)
(and I hope to finish it soon....)

good coloring, nyao, but i don't think this is your best coloring abilities- i know you got better coloring in you than this! even tho it's already really good... by the way, since when did this pix become a french "debate"? by the way, if you want even more "french", try swiss german - it's got bits of french in it too
darkk_angel (Dec 18, 2003)
well dude, you should use reflexive verbs instead of toi...i dunno... i think it would sound better that way.... great pic though!

um... I guess it's finished... Seems that my pictures are all turning into discussing thingie-ma-bobies.... ain't that good... move it if you wanna....
WildMageDaine90 (Feb 26, 2004)
my french went down the toilet a long time ago as you know. to any babelfish users: the translater translates it very literally, so nothing makes much sense...yeah. I know...my friend is in spanish with me, tries to cheat on projects by using babelfish and fails. Nyao, you know who I'm talking about...yeah. but cool. looks like the one you gave me around christmas time

The singers of the group Chana (my sister and I). Well, a group that's in the pipes as of right now. Chana is actually the lead singer, but I'm the REAL lead singer in the background.

...think Milli Vanilli people. :)

btw, there is a question mark in the middle because I can't think of a background at the moment. It'll come to me...eventually.

oy...I think that's it. I'm gonna mess it up and I don't want to do that. I've always been afraid of shading.
