So purdy DB :) the rays bring the sunlight so much closer and makes for such a dramatic yet purdiful picture.
laurael (Jun 29, 2004)
Love how you did this one...it 'is' very dramatic. Another beautiful work of dba art. :]
Zack (Jun 30, 2004)
Simply lovely. That's an explosion up ahead, right? I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
Anna (Jun 30, 2004)
:) ahhh This is so lovely to look at. The colors are beautiful. You captured the grandness of it all perfectly. |

No
Kasha (May 30, 2004)
haha, thanks Clox. I'll see about Xod. I was thinking maybe porn sites have good models but I got kinda scared about having my family come in and thinking I was some kind of weirdo. Im trying to find a simple model without any sexual gestures. So natually, porn is out of the question. Arrrgh, I have a feeling this is gonna take me ages.
Kloxboy (May 30, 2004)
This might help, or maybe notI used these books to better my antomy skills as well better myself as an artist: The Human Machine by George Briggman - a good book to learn the mechanics of anatomy Dynamic Anatomy by Burne Hogarth - great book and Hogarth is one of the best 50 Secrets of Magic Craftmanship by Salvador Dali - aside from sounding kinda insane at times, it's a great book Gray's Anatomy - this book is best for learning terms Anatomy for the Artist by Jeno Barcsay - this has great drawings in it and another good term book There are a few others I own but those I listed helped me most. Of course, don't take my word for it. <some of you are old enough to get that joke, I hope, that line is right up there with "...and knowing is half the battle"
Kasha (May 30, 2004)
ohh yay! thanks Clox.
Fin_beast (edited Aug 20, 2004)
Kasha... you are a fucking lamer... :P This rox0rz.The really soft lines and then the really dark ones really make it work. Is there a reference or is that from your head? It better not be from your head. :B I wish I had the style you have. *sigh* *stalks kasha* |

You don't want me to pull out my reference for this one.(Mine has a 6" barrel... I drew it w/ a 4" here because I wanted it this size and couldn't make the canvas wider.)
davincipoppalag (Jun 12, 2004)
Good job on this one Mizz Cindy. I like the depth of the bg and how the gun stands out.. nice one (and so nice and Crisp)
laurael (Jun 12, 2004)

I did a miniature of this 2 1/2" x 4" in oils a few years back so I thought I might do it here too.
gloworm043 (May 23, 2004)

Looks scary.
emmamommalag (Jun 17, 2004)
This is beautiful, Kasha. You have such a nice style. I like the pastels against the boldness of the black and white.
davincipoppalag (Jun 18, 2004)
Beautiful work as always. Cindy, I think you would look nice with ANY color on your head.(the old guy always knows the right thing to say to heavily armed wimmens)
purple_Llama (Jun 21, 2004)

davincipoppalag (Jun 16, 2004)
This is quite good.. did you notice Zack.. the robot's eyes have more life than the human..very good work
DinoFlorist (Jun 16, 2004)
great job. I like robots too, and I wanted to be like your last robot becsaue he seemed free from worry. Free from a job, free from disease, free from responsibility. But this robot's lilfe sucks. It makes me realize how lucky I am to be human!
Supergurl103 (Jun 18, 2004)
this is great, ark, good job, the skin on the human looks so robotic lol
purple_Llama (Jun 21, 2004)
The guy reminds me of Jude Law in AI.Interesting concept |

sdbored.
emmamommalag (Jun 20, 2004)
Very nice, Kasha. Simple lines yet great muscle and skin detail with the shading and coloring.. good job. I like how the watercolor-y background washes over the actual subject. Nice effect. :)
Axil62 (edited Jun 20, 2004)
I would have commented earlier but sometimes I feel like I'm just being redundant because you know how I love your stuff.
davincipoppalag (Jun 20, 2004)
Interesting look to this one miss Kasha.. He looks a bit effeminate to me because his back has that sort of graceful smoothness a woman might have (well except for the lady welders and high iron workers). |

Another story character, this one coming from mine and ken's sci-fi project.
MariaMinamino (Jun 8, 2004)
Wow - you drew the armor SO well! it looks so real!!!! I really like the skin too.
Axil62 (edited Jun 8, 2004)
Why is the link between Everdreams Lieutenant and the Rockwell I'm doing mixed up? Is it just me? Does anyone else see a pixelated version of my painting of Rockwell here? *rubbs eyes, blinks* What the...Edit: That was weird, I cleared my cache and Everdreams pic came back. Edit: Ok...now if I refresh after clearing the cache...the pixelated Rockwell comes back instead of Everdreams painting... Edit: Rebooted my machine. Nevermind, it's all back to normal now.
Supergurl103 (Jun 8, 2004)
very nice, everdream, love the shading :) nice background ;)
Knockoff (Jun 10, 2004)
This is uber cool.Your coloring is the best, ED. The detail you put in your pictures is amazing. This one is no different. Excelent job EverDream. |
