I appreciate all the comments and I'd like to thank you for all the comments you've given me in the past but, uh.....I'm seriously not worthy of them^^;.Especially this one since it's the first time I actually attempted a photo image and you can see that it's pretty flat.....anyways, I don't know if I have any more time today to continue, but hopefully I can tomorrow...

N--uh I mean Gigandas-if you don't start liking some of your work people are going to think you are fishing for compliments(don't make that lil exasperated noise we know you're not)-no wonder Chris made a fuss this picture looks exactly like him and there is nothing wrong with the nose. I know you set high standards man but this is awsome you have to like SOME of it...

We are always our own worst critics. PLEASE don't delete it. All I have to say is if you do, you will deprive alot of people of a great deal of enjoyment in viewing it. :)

He doesn't have dark hair^^;.I just couldn't get to his hair last night.I just draw this way, with the darkest shadow color being planted first.It WILL be whitish or blondish(dunno whichever you wanna call it) by the time I finish.....that's IF I do...

Okay....I guess I'm doing so-so at the moment.It's better than the last edit(thank god...).Still looks a little weird without real ears, but that's my first priority on the next revision.9 hours spent....hmmm.......better finish before I run out of memory...><

Touched up on some facial structures, screwed up his hair by his right ear(will fix tomorrow), added the inside details of his ears, and started to add his under shirt.If I can, I'll get to his clothes by the next update.I still need BG ideas on this one though.....that will probably be the toughest part.

This is fantastic. Feels like I could just reach out and touch his nose - the whole thing is so realistic. Re: the background, I would keep it fairly light in color and nothing too dramatic so as not to take away from the main subject.

Still got a lot to finish.I think I'll continue it sometime later today.This revision included eyebrows beings lightened up a bit,adding his cape, and adding some texture to his shirt collar.By the next revision, I'd like to try and at least finish Legolas himself.Since I am too lazy to do the bottom area of his clothes, it will be blackened out at a diagonal (like right now) and include his name in the space^^;.

Okay, now I'm gettin' somewhere...added a BG and did part of his clothes.I don't know why, but I actually like the BG^^;.Anyways, this thing should be done by the next revision, but at latest would have to be 2 more revisions.I'll try as best I can to finish on the next one though...

The only suggestion I can think of is add more shadows to the right-side of his face. also the "fire" seems like kinda of a cop-out. I think it'd be much better with a blue sky background (since the lighting is more of an outdoor lighting (and not in flames))...
Just suggestions though, if you keep the fire, I'd add more detail to that, or just finish his right shoulder and keep the fire behind him....

Well, Marcello, I'm sorry but the reference pic didn't show any more of "his" right shoulder than what I've drawn and on top of that a blue sky would just be too plain and boring in my opinion^^;...

First of all, awesome job. Secondly, it looks like someone cut out a picture of legalos and pasted it into a really crappy collage. Sorry, but I mean the fire, but also the black hard cut, they all kind of look weirdly juxtaposed. Hahahahah, i used juxtaposed in a sentence. And yes, I did spell it right before I looked up the word on dictionary.com just to make sure.

I know the BG isn't the best but I wanted a somewhat "Magic The Gathering" type of look to it.When I usually draw, it's only the character himself, not a background.And just to let everyone know, it's not fire^^;;;;;;;.In fact, I was trying to avoid using fire.When I draw fire, it looks like that of what was on my Ronso Fury pic, not a criss-cross of light orange and yellow...anyways, if I can I'll try to fix it somehow...thanks for the critique though-appreciate it^^.

He is drawn incredibly well, I drool at your talent. The details are awesomely done, my favorite part is the clasp of his cloak.

However, I'm SO dissapointed....I don't really mind that you didn't finish his right shoulder, but I wish you would move it over so that it's even on both sides...the bottom cut off isn't fun either because it doesn't match the cut off on the left. They're fine by themselves but together they don't work. Apart of art is looking at the whole objectively, and symmetry is a good thing.

Also, if you weren't going for a fire look, then perhaps sky colors would have looked better, blues and whites.

SO awesome though, I can only dream to one day be able to have the patience to do a piece like this. Very nice. *sits and stares for awhile*

Really? I kinda like the whole faded out left (his right) shoulder cause it looks like he's coming out at you cause you can still trace the line where it goes behind the background-however you're right when it cuts straight down on the shoulder that looks kinda weird...but NC this is awsome *goes and pouts wishing she could draw like that* it's it's our precious...haha sorry

Sorry, but like I said, I suck at BG's.I haven't ever done one until I came here(let's see.....that'd be 18 years...?).Yeah, I know his right shoulder is cut off but I'm looking to fix that when I can.That's what I meant on my revision comment above about adding the gray.All I can say is I need to practice BG stuff before I get any better.But if I were to change the BG comepletely.....I still wouldn't want an ordinary blue sky^^;...it's gotta be outta this world if you get what I mean.Anyways, I appreciate all your comments and hopefully, fleeting_memory actually likes this and that I didn't disappoint her^^;...

...I just realized....maybe I need to do a collab. pic with someone willing to do a great BG......
