Finally finished! Boy I can't wait till this movie comes out and hopefully when it does people will have way better referances to work from! ....sheesh working from blury images is maddening!! XP Any way here is the referance pic I used. Since I'm not very good at exact copying I modified it a bit, I thought Cloud's face looked a little scrunched in the screen shot. Hope you don't mind Gigandas! Any ways...Enjoy! :D pic reference

I'm not sure, but I think he probably did less detail on the body because the focus should be on the face, hand, and butterfly. I like it this way. It brings your attention directly to the point of focus.

I didn't say there was anytihng wrong with less detail/focus on the body, I'm just saying it doesn't have the same feeling as the head and hands. you can still keep something out of focus while fitting with the style/level of finish of the rest of the piece. Take his left arm for example.

This is a good picture! '____' I would hang this on my wall, and not much goes on my wall unless I draw it myself. I really like the glow of the house reflected on the snow, as well as the whole purple tone.

Well I like what you put there.. it gives it a sort of samoan feel... the BG looks like the kind of patterns they have in the south Pacific islands on tapa cloth etc.. I think it worked nicely

It's pretty much done.I might fix his chin sometime since that kinda bugs me, but other than that I guess it's alright.Sorry about some of the sharpness in the shading.I didn't have control over that since it just happens when being submitted for some reason^^;.Well, here it is and hope you enjoy it...if you guys want the reference pic, I'll try to put a link to it.
