My mother has a daily cat picture calender and this was the image for Tuesday Jan. 20, '04. It was cute and couldn't resist trying to draw it.

Well...the reason the head shape looks freaky is because it's stretching it out a window so it's not as round as it would be if it was just sitting normally. And the black outline is the way it is in the calander picture...to me it makes the legs very real looking. It just doesn't really work well under the chin and I've tried a few times to correct that.

it's good, imho. it seems to have a bit of a folk art style to it, and its cute. i esp like the eyes and mouth. the only thing i would have suggested is more work on the part of the window above it, but otherwise it's very nicely done :)

Here's a little survey I made while being bored with slow-going lineart on my new drawing. If\when you take it, and you think some areas are lesser than others, try and improve them, even if it's only one picture at a time. I like this...I like this alot...perhaps it's because it looks just like a watercolor painting? *shrugs* This still is beautiful work though. Great job!

Oh, I don't know. I like his face, but the background and his hand are bugging me. They don't look and/or feel right. Oh well. And btw, I had to leave this on overnight and through school, which would explain the time. ~.^;;

He doesn't . . . have an opposing digit, that could be a problem too, you know. If he ever wants to do anything. And at least it has a background. that's more than most of us can say.

...oh wow...did I ever get the WRONG idea about this lol..."The Power of his Hand" Had me thinking of this one card my mom showed me once...(I have a scary mom) Of a guy, in a bed with covers over his legs...and well his left arm is really muscular while his right is scrawny...you get what it implies right? I believe the caption said something like, "Been working out?" lol we were gonna give it to my brother because he takes such LONG showers lol....yeah |

You're welcome! From left to right, they are Roy, Garrett, Erika, and Dylan. And no, I do not have a webcomic on Keenspot or ever have. Hey... neato.Since when did Garrett smoke? I mean, if anything, there should be a gun smoking in his hand... but not him smoking... Also, He's wearing a Quake 3 sweater, so far, Roy, Garrett, and Erika have been implemented in the plot... Dylan's coming up, but there are also some other characters that might be created for other purposes. And you get to see all of this shizat when we find someone who can make webpages. And make them look good. Hosting is not really a problem, we might shell out a couple bucks on a provider... or I think I already have a domain that we can use. Oh well, more on this when FuryofRoy or I feel like it.

It didn't really take that long, I was watching The Ring and helping to fill out an application. Uh... the shading technique I used didn't turn out like I wanted it to. Um... yeah. |

Anyone else notice more people are doing more realistic pictures, maybe its just me. Anyways whats your take on trying to draw more realisticly, and the pros and cons in the long and short run.
