I kinda agree with Satern here. Although the skin tones, face, shapes and form of her body seem nice, the hair looks a bit flat and unfinished in comparison. My advice would be to use darker darks for depth, and possibly some reflective lights if that doesn't work out well.
darkshadow (Mar 10, 2006)
The hair to awesome
And I really like the look she has in her eyes
DoOp (Mar 18, 2006)
too much effort kristine!!! XD hehe i reallyy liek this one :D waiii!!! the hair is fantastic it works with the mood :) hehe and the whole make up being runny works fantastically well ^_^ hehe i lvoe it! wonderful job! :)
Anna (Jun 10, 2006)
Was just browsin' through your stuff to see what I've missed.. I like her face a whole lot. Especially the eyes and makeup. That's great work there, Kristine. Like a couple people mentioned.. it's just the hair. Kinda 'scratchy'. If that makes any sense. Anyway, keep drawing stuff like this. You're on to something.

hi1022 (Jun 3, 2006)
Her face looks real, her hair, kimono, and hand look painted, and the folded up thing looks like it was done by a kid.
Don't get me wrong or nothing, I think this is a beautiful picture. That's just what it looks like to me.

DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 11, 2006)
well, you can't smell the roses from there if you stopped here, but you can see them: When it's not hunting season of any kind, or "beach" time yet, I have a passion for growing things. I wanted to share my flowers with you. There will be millions more, different kinds, all through the summer and if I'm not too lazy I'll add them to this album. I hope you enjoy seeing them. :)

whatamess

I was thinking while I was painting this about how I keep my oil paints in a big tackle box and I would always squeeze the tube wrong and the seam in the back would break or the tube would get a hole in it and while I was painting I'd get all engrossed in what I was doing, squeeze the tube to replace a color I had run out of, and paint would squirt out from 3 different directions and then I figured, why bother putting the lid back on, and throw it in the box and then the tubes would stick together and dry up. I wonder if anybody else is that sloppy.

I like the color in this. I just wish you would of polished the pic up a little more.

Dave, I don't really know the story behind the dolls. I tried looking them up online but all the ones they show are different than this type. A friend who grew up in Japan gave this one to me a few years ago and only told me the type. I'll keep trying to find out. :-)

Love your use of lines. How do u make the tools behave like a chinese brush or real ink pens like in the Larry draws? Great stuff!

It's midnight Cinderella, but don't you worry none
'Cause I'm Peter Peter the Pumpkin Eater
And the party's just begun

I guess your Prince Charming
Wasn't, after all
'Cause he sure seemed different right after the ball
I guess more than horses are turnin' into rats
And by the way he's walkin'
I can guess where your slipper's at

I'm gonna help you get over
Bein' under that spell
You're gonna learn to love midnight
Inside this pumpkin shell
I've got a few new magic tricks
Your godmother can't do
I'll show you what it means to
Bip, bip, bip, bip, boppity boo

It's midnight Cinderella, time that you should know
There's gonna be some changes in the way this story goes
It's midnight Cinderella, but don't you worry none
'Cause I'm Peter Peter the Pumkin Eater
And the party's just begun

I'm Peter Peter the Pumpkin Eater
And the party has now begun
