I'm kinda seeing an armor, maybe that of a knight's, kinda shattering away. In a way, I can kinda see how that may be related to stress too.
staci (Jan 4, 2008)
wow!
i love love love all the textures in this, very cool. it has so much movement and kapow. i know you use the tools to create but it really looks like every form, every detail is carefully planned and placed. i like the grey-scale, i think it would have been too much in full on color.
Miss_DJ (Jan 5, 2008)
thanks very much! yeah, some people just like to use a couple of tools..I love them all..!
fleeting_memory (Jan 13, 2008)
Whoa. This is really trippy! It has a very shattered look to it. Wonderful.

Yes, you are very good at the porcelain skin, loverly. Only thing I see is that maybe her left eye could use a little more shadow at the outer corner... I know there is more light hitting her face there, but still seems like that to me. Purdy job, I like it.
laurael (Feb 24, 2004)
This is very nice Icats. Love the eyes, the lashes and the brows...wonderful.
fleeting_memory (Mar 2, 2004)
very pretty-she reminds me of Arowen or however you spell that-lips are wonderfully done though I can't say I understand the meaning of coleslaw...
Angel_Artist (Jan 3, 2008)
this would be a great piece...if it wasn't for the smiley face covering it up... -.-

I'm supposed to be working on Christmas gift pictures to send out to people. I'm glad I bought those new sketchbooks, but I didn't expect to fill them with pictures so soon...!
But it's a good feeling. Giving, that is.

PS my hands are cold

"cold hands warm heart" they say, ya know that, I'm sure
mine have been really cold, though right now, clammy, perfect for making that fart noise with them by cupping them together and squeezing lol..(another memory... so many flooding in).... and my feet have been totally toasty
xiau (Nov 28, 2007)
Ah... Thank you very much, Axil! That made my day. But I still have a very, very long way to go.
Hahah, hand farts. It works best when your hands are wet :] Makes a squishy fart noise.
Anna (Nov 28, 2007)
I like the bright lighting!
Gigandas (Nov 28, 2007)
Seriously xiau, don't stop drawing. To waste such a talent, especially with how developed you have it at your age would be a flat-out, total disappointment. I'm telling you and I'm sure I've said it a number of times before, keep this up and you'll be pretty damn successful in what you do.

Reminds me of a character in Star Trek....
>.<...
staci (Oct 27, 2005)
beautifully done...a request for your next fantasy portrait..give the eyes more emotion, like she really is an evil princess about to suck my eyeballs out. not just posing for a glamour shot..yano?

i admire your style, its very inspirational to me. thanks.

Very nice Anna! It's nice to see you draw again too :] The tie is very satin-ish looking. Awesome :]
SimplyX (Aug 7, 2005)
You hooked me up with this picture, the moment I saw the thumbnail. I am now tied (not into knots) but rather can't take my eyes off the lush of its fabric.
laurael (Sep 10, 2005)
Great tie texture, but I like that hook, too.
Jodylicious (Nov 9, 2007)
I like the pop-artish kinda feel to this, the tie has really great texture! ^_^

I got saiS for Christmas!!!!!!
Now I know how to use all the TMNT's weapons!!!!!!!!
I'm still learning the saiS.
I don't see how Raph could use them with just 3 fingers.
laurael (Dec 29, 2005)
Hey, that's great that you got Sais! I hope to own a real pair some day...*sigh* <---heh, heh.
Ty854 (Dec 29, 2005)
awesome sprite!
UnWanted (Nov 8, 2007)
if I'm not mistaken.. this is a sprite of Raphael from TMNT : Tournament Fighters (which wasn't half bad, but nuthing compared to Turtles in Time)

I LOVE IT!

Rudeezy (Sep 20, 2007)
I was wondering, does anybody have any sort of website or tuts to help with foreshortened perspective? I did a lazy check on google, but i figured "I'm sure 2drawers are better for artistic help than google is". thanks in advance. :)

Art/Design Book recommendations
marcello (Sep 13, 2007)
I was wondering if anyone out there has art books they have/have read/have looked at that they like. Trying to compile a list for a possible 2draw store. :) Cheers.
