Jiah, I'm using Ultima runes; not Tolkien ones. :)
They are a slight variation of Tolkien's... I just never got around totally memorizing Tolkien's ones, and I had to memorize Ultima ones for the game, anyway. But, yeah, that's what they say.

EDIT: well, at least i have a title ... my computer is freaking out, otherwise i'd finish this up now. darn. hmm...the mouse pointer-thingie is slowly dragging itself up the screen. that is really weird... a computer poltergeist maybe?

EDIT:well, i had a lot of background stuff done, but my computer wouldn't save. yeah... i'm gonna color the characters first.

EDIT: whew! i thought i lost it! some of the stuff i did didn't save because i exceeded the limit. well, i suppose i'm happy with this. the light didn't come out exactly as i pictured it, but oh well. i think i'll do another pic using light later. i hope you like it *prays--pls pls let them like it!*

Complete. All in all i am pleased, although this isn't a thing like i had imagined. I am mostly happy because i found out some neat tricks (that i would have implemented earlier had i known) like using basic tools like 'opacity' along with layer transparency. This was definitely worth the 9 hours. :)

another method3 production! had some trouble submitting it, so i didn't get it in until now, a day later than planned. ok, resubmitting now so that some stuff can be fixed with the LSD, had a problem submitting because java ran out of memory.

it's a flying fish. still incomplete. i think the water is just about done, with perhaps a little more tweaking. i took off the crappy looking scales, not sure how that's going to be done yet.

thanks for the comments everyone.

first off, i don't use a tablet. yes, this was all done with a mouse. secondly notice the time i spent on this... i think it's only an hour off... or so. the way i did this was basically going over lines again and again until the edges were smooth enough (requires alot of zooming in/out to make sure) with a soft edged brush. this could be a tutorial in the making >:)
