whoa...I was JUST looking at this and it was a lot less done...

You are doing a great job. I like the unfinished edges it makes it more soft. I think the skin tone looks great! I like the way you have her hair pulled back in this bun...its so delicate. I dont know that that is the word I am going for, but I cannot wait to see it finishd! hope your head feels better soon

Very pretty Deino. I like her hair and the folds in the material.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Dec 11, 2005)
Beautiful, I want to do one, complete frontal... but I'm not brave enough, I don't think. I have been trying to muster up the courage, but I think they should be done freely, in a painterly style, and I'm afraid I would try to "fix it" too much. This one is controlled just enough to be defined and yet it still has that wonderful painted look. I notice it is unfinished... don't over-do it, it's good like it is.

edit: and I have to add that wallpaper is absolutely perfect, don't you dare change that part (HOW did you do that, anyway?) Please do tell.
Pkingsora (Dec 11, 2005)
I agree with Deadly, i had no idea that this picture wasnt complete..it looks simply stunning like this..allmost like a real painting..the wallpaper is really somthing too..good job in teh detail @ w @ awesome job > w < awwweesome

very very lovely! this is so pretty! o.m.g.! i think it should be showcased! O.o the walls are fantastic!
Felistorm (Dec 12, 2005)
surely this has been showcased by now? This is what I was going for w/ mine and I didn't even get remotely close. This is perfection! Awesome!

The only significant detractions from this picture for me are the folds in and texture of the cloth. Something isn't quite right with them yet. Looking at the folds in the orange sheet draped over her right thigh, there's a dark line across the top of that bit that stands out to me. The texture seems slightly off as well - those sheets are something shiny like silk or velvet right? It's a very difficult texture to portray, for sure.

The skintones look fantastic though, and overall this is definitely very good work.
Deino (Dec 13, 2005)
Thanks for the advice Zack :) I'll try to get those clothes better ^^
davincipoppalag (Dec 13, 2005)
They look good to me now.
Caddris (Dec 13, 2005)
Wow. And you said you're not good a the human figure.
Very lovely. I would try and define the top of her right hip a bit more. There isn't a very clear distinction of the fold of her leg at her hip and it makes it look like one thigh is slightly larger than the other. . . . I hope that made sense. . . It's hard to explain without showing you. >_<
If I have confused you as much as I have confused myself, don't touch it, because it's gorgeous the way it is.

P.S. How'd you do the wall paper?
Deino (Dec 13, 2005)
Thanks Dave and Caddris.
The wallpaper will be explained in a drawing, I promise! It isn't hard to do and you may find it fun! ^0^
Shoebox (Dec 13, 2005)
I have an idea of how you did it, but I'll wait 'til the drawing.
Aboslutely stunning, looks like she's waking up from a good nights sleep. I hope to someday be able to do figures like you.
The blanket is also quite lovely.
frootcake (Dec 20, 2005)
