hee its meiko from marmelade boy 7! she is supposed to be looking up, but the way she turned out shes lookin down. oh well. i've worked really hard on this to make it the best! hope ya like! :Dok finally done i gotta make this short so uh.... this has been the pic i worked hardest on. :D (i do not care if i spelled her last name wrong either.)

I don't know I always thought she was blonde. Maybe it's just me. Nice job, it's obvious you really worked on this one.. good shading on the hair, the biggest thing I can see that you should work on is the face shape. Good work!

very good, i agree the lights look real and i like the rain and drop circles, nice clean lineart too. reminds me of film noir (BW, rain, girl running, etc..).

Oh very pretty, I can almost taste the water droplets. This has a very cool (temprature wise) feel to it, I like it. ^^

fwpSHAAAWWW!!!! i like the cherry blossoms and the kanji on his shirt (it means six right...me japanese be rusty). the only thing that kinda detracts from the pic is the inconsistant blurring. it does call attention to the character, but i think that it gets a little sloppy in some areas. but i like this. hes cute! ^__^

I'm honored. ^^ I agree the blurring is a little messy in parts, but I'm enjoying the cherry blossoms... also, it looks like you've got some layering issues with the grass in the background. Other than that, it's cute!

My God, I just saw this to-day. Nice job. I don't think they're much bigger. I think it's perspective. In the movie, they looked bigger, but I'm sure they were all just the same. Wonderful job.

i <3 that scene. well.. ok the whole movie. i mean can you blame me.. scanitly clad hot women dancing around being men-haters? whoo..though the middle chick on bottom is kinda lumpy. and the arms on the girl to the left of her are abmormally straight/undefined. i think the best one is the second on top. ahaha. i love that. |

Okay, considering my un-1337 skills, I usually stay out of these sorts of things... but ya know... I have to say, Parelis is right. It's gotten awful. Those of us on the beginner board who are here because we want to improve and get constructive criticism from the better artists are getting nowhere because as soon as we post something, we get either 20 "it's kool lol!!!!!!!!111" comments or 20 5-minute pictures saying "i was bord plz coment but not if u r just going 2 be critical!!11" drowning it out so nobody sees it. The beginner board is here for practice and improvement, not posting pointless crap that nobody wants to look at. Remember, even the drool-worthy deities on the advanced and elite boards were new to oekaki once. Being a newbie is no excuse for not trying to get better.Thanks for bringing it up, Parelis.

Great term... mind if I use it more often?Yes, the spammers are becoming a problem, and this picture is a marvelous example of what it feels like sometimes wading through all the 12 minute pictures. Seriously folks, the longer you spend on a drawing, the more practice you get, the better you'll be. Just spend the extra half hour on it, and you'll be that much happier with yourself.
