Chasing older women

This was not so much about getting it "correct" as it was about just trying to convey a feeling, a memory of summers past, an innocence. The colors seemed brighter then and the sun was warm and comfortable, not hot and beating. There were still mysteries to investigate and legends still not proven false. My bike was shiny and new, I was fast as the wind on that thing, there was happiness and hope. Details weren't the point and if someone told me something was impossible, I doubted it.

I got pissed off here a while back, acted like a two year old, threw a fit and blacked em out. No I don't show anything anywhere, I mostly end up just giving it away. I've sold a few but I have no dicipline so I hardly ever paint for real anymore. But I'm going to soon, it's comming, the urge is growing, just not quite yet.

pssst... Pandora... alot of them were totally great on the second to last view, you can click on that and still see them. Some of my favorites here are in his gallery and I still go there and look at them like that. :)

yes, i do watch mao-chan. and sylvie rocks my socks. that hand is giving me a great deal of trouble, though... suggestions for the background would be nice. or if anyone wants to offer me a technique for drawing hands... that would be nice too. by the way, i'm using this reference pic. Done. unless i get pissed about the level of laziness i reached on the background. but yeah.

immaculate lineart, more power to you for that... the hair is amazing. the shiny marks don't really work for me, though, they look less perfected than the rest of the hair. not that i'm really one to criticize. it just bugs me because the shading and lines are so gorgeous and then the shines are just done with the dodge tool. eh, don't mind me. i'm also loving the eye and the hair tie baubley things. her shoulders look like they might be a little narrow, but that could just be me. nice job overall!

Taori's right, love the texture with the bricks and things.I really like the light shining in there, but looking at your reference, I think the center of the beam could use some white white(as in R:255,G:255, and B:255).But good job overall^^.

I wanted to use a different angle for this pic : slightly above the "eye line".Dunno if I did it correctly ... But there's one thing I know ... I really suck at drawing backgrounds ... T_T

welcome to the club. i can't do backgrounds worth beans either. ^^; but really, your art is so amazing. i love the soft feel and the subtle shading. the angle looks good to me, better than i could do anyhow. i'm no expert, but maybe if you wanted to make it even more "above the eyeline," you could move the eyes down a bit more so that the forehead's more prominent... err.. bad explanation, hope that made some sense. :P
