This was not so much about getting it "correct" as it was about just trying to convey a feeling, a memory of summers past, an innocence. The colors seemed brighter then and the sun was warm and comfortable, not hot and beating. There were still mysteries to investigate and legends still not proven false. My bike was shiny and new, I was fast as the wind on that thing, there was happiness and hope. Details weren't the point and if someone told me something was impossible, I doubted it.

Awsome Axil!!.. This brings memories back for me as well, especially spending the summers as a kid at the campgrounds. Chasing after the older girls (as portrayed in your pic) was always exciting and fun, untill they actually turned around and called you on it!! LOL Freak out time, for the adolescent boy!! That usually ended up in her chasing the boy with endless laughter, knowing he was actually scared to death of what she would do if she caught him! good one axil !

Beautifully done Axil. I managed to hang on to some of those feelings (I still don't believe it when people tell me some things aren't possible, I still see the colors. and I still chase older women<only problem with that is I am older they they are....)

I love this one - you got the feeling in it all right, it's there. It reminds me of playing with my brothers when we were little, though... I never ran from the boys, I just usually turned around and stood my ground which scared the hell out of them. (still does) lol :)

edit: Oh, and p.s.: anything is still possible :)

is that a slip and slide?

Axil62 I was going through your gallery why are so many blacked out, did you delete them? I'm really curious do you show your work some where? Really Great ART.
Axil62 (Apr 14, 2004)
I got pissed off here a while back, acted like a two year old, threw a fit and blacked em out. No I don't show anything anywhere, I mostly end up just giving it away. I've sold a few but I have no dicipline so I hardly ever paint for real anymore. But I'm going to soon, it's comming, the urge is growing, just not quite yet.

pssst... Pandora... alot of them were totally great on the second to last view, you can click on that and still see them. Some of my favorites here are in his gallery and I still go there and look at them like that. :)
