Well, here it is - my second picture on this site. I now understand something about Lascaux Sketch, and I like the tool, but I'm still baffled by it in places... Still, it's a step, and I think the fishy is cute. It's based, vaguely, on a guppy, but mostly it's just swimming around in my brain. At least it's got plenty of room in there right now... if it can abide the whistling sound of the wind blowing through... <LOL> |

:P ....done! Even with a tablet it sure does take some effort let me tell you! Some things I see that still need fixing but their small and I don't really think that they detire from the pic that much so I'm not going to bother. Heh....no referance use of any kind. I should draw when I'm pissed or stressed more often! My best works seem to come from those times. *shrugs* Any ways....Have a HAPPY "VALENTINE"s day! *I know bad joke* :D Enjoy

This is so neat. the creatures look more like baby chip munks.I see some as I walk to work , they like to hang around some thickets on the side of the railroad .One day, I looked under a bush after hearing leaves russle. This time a rat was looking up at me. I didn't think it was cute! |

good job! i like the colors a lot...a few suggestions just for next time tho: use a blend or blur tool to help make it so there are no splotchy parts...thatll make it flow nicely. also nice shading und the neck! dont be afraid to use that same idea on the whole thing. picture where your light source is coming from, and give all the colors a light contrast makeover. good luck, and nice work!

You may want to zoom in to get cleaner lines. And don't use the fill tool, it's bad for newbies. |

Great job! Looks like it came straight out of the anime... except for the slight wavy-ness of the shadow line along the nose. Other than that, it ocks my socks right into the other room.

My good pal noremac will be assisting me in making the pupils look deeper and more angry (using fire) and i will be attempting some shading skills picked up from gigandas(thanks).

Okay, this is my first oekaki here so I figured I better post in the Beginner Skill board initially. I am used to the Oekaki Poteto so I had to hunt around for the colours I wanted to use using the sliders. My otaku obsession is Gravitation but I do draw other charas with oekaki.

Your art is so beautiful, 'specially when you draw anything from Gravitation. I thought you left the oekaki scene forever when I didn't see anymore of your beautiful art on 'Cafe I gave up for a while. I love this, and I'm happy I'll be able to see your art here.

Isn't there a way to check the amount of space that the file is taking before you allow the user to save the file, so that we *can't* get into this kind of trouble? I think it told me the size of the .PNG file (though I'm honestly not sure), but not the actual main file, the one that's violating the space limit -- and I always feel really awkward about creating a problem I didn't even know how to check for, much less how to avoid, prevent, remedy, anything. <worried look> Do I just create images and hope blindly that they're within the size limit when I'm done, and delete them if they're not, or is there something I can do to avoid this problem in the future?
