This is "sole" music , isnt it? (It would make the concept of playing a step higher..a little easier to understand)

I think it was Cher that said... put anything on my tombstone but "nice", please... I so agree with her. You're as good as gold, Zack.

I really like this. The brown line art looks great.
Cordelia_Pink (May 30, 2005)
Nice!!!! It's cool that it's a bathtub that's she in rather than a ship. hehe it's about time someone invented bathtub helicopters.
davincipoppalag (May 30, 2005)
I think Leonardo DaVinci and Igor Sikorsky got together with the backing of the American Standard fixtures company to build this for her. I particularly like the landscape below. This is a fun picture Mr. Zack.(now did you write down that minuet yet!! Get over there and Do it!...Quit stalling~!)

Haven't done one of these in a while.

A new design of mine, showing stronger Japanese influence. I'm planning to make a poster-size image featuring this bot (not necessarily at this angle) in Photoshop. Not sure whether to put arms or guns on or just leave the shoulders as they are. C&C appreciated.

edit: Done with this picture. I'll probably do more sketches like this of this bot.

kejoco (May 24, 2005)
I agree with marcello, the problem wasn't with the panel with the 3 things, it was with the panel above that which was throwing the perspective off. Looks good now as it is though

Zack (May 8, 2005)
first attempt at isometric sprite creation. partially inspired by FF Tactics.

I've decided this won't be the player character but I still might use it for something else.

I was just laying down basic shapes in pencil stuff using my tablet for the second time ever (first was that apartment photo) and suddenly a little shading here and there and it started looking really cool on its own.

edit: Thanks for the crits! I tried to address your concerns and changed a couple other things that were bugging me, what do you think? Was I successful? How well does the composition work now on the whole?

I love it! Very fantasy-esque. ^__^ I really like the shading on the breast plate.
davincipoppalag (May 2, 2005)
This will be fun to watch ! It's a good looking scene already.

DeadlyBlondeArcher (May 3, 2005)
I just now remembered to come back and see what you did with this... what you did in the background with the fading road and the hills and the little castle.. eggZACKtly what I was thinking. :) I love the way it so closely emulates a pencil sketch.

Very cool Zach! I really like the brick work, and how there is harsh bright light areas and also dark shaded areas :]

Unusual subject for me, I know. I'm trying to work on cartoonish peoples skills a bit. Never was very good at females. :/

Criticism and advice, positive or negative, is very much welcome.
edit: changed title

cherro: As long as it doesn't jeopardize my killer-robots career.
Kilala: Well, what I was attempting here was a cartoon style without lineart, so putting lines back in would go against that. Maybe I wasn't entirely successful with creating contrast here, though. I'll think about that for the next one.
Thanks everyone!

The large yellow rectangle is made of nine perfect squares. If the area of the yellow square in the middle is four square inches, is it possible to find the area of the large yellow rectangle? If so, what is the area? If not, why not?

Hint: The proportions are intentionally distorted, don't try measuring the picture.

PS: math roxors your boxors.

Childlike_Vampire (Apr 6, 2005)
I find this very interesting that there are people like you who are interested enough to figure things out like this. I'm also glad there are people like you in the world. With people like you in the world, that means that I don't have to give a damn about this kind of math.

Don't get me wrong, I am pretty good at math, I'm just not interested in it. Boring boring unfun useless to my particular happily oblivious American lifestyle. I'm damn good at cashier math though. One of the fastest cashiers you'll ever meet. I don't need the register to tell me how much something will cost plus tax or how much change you'll need or how much three of that item as opposed to one it will cost. The register is there so I can be lazy. haha.

Great way to combine art and math and get people to think. And cute laurels. I'm jealous. :P
