Aubrey (Jul 21, 2004)
Cool picture of a spaceship Zack, reminds of somethin you'd see in Star Trek.

Yep, very nice. It IS cheese, isn't it. Yummy!
ChibiNay (Jul 18, 2004)
This is cool, it kinda reminds me of a gaem called jenga...curse that game!
Knockoff (Jul 20, 2004)
Woo, I love the depth, Zack. Its just really nice, for how you didn't use that many lines except for the out lines.
safescene (Jul 20, 2004)
With the colors you used, it looks like a bunch of blocks of american cheese :P...

...maybe I'm just hungry.

Actually, I love Math, and his brother Logic. They are good friends of mine.

Once, my little brother left an extra-credit math puzzle in my car. It showed a large square made of smaller squares, each of which was a different size. It gave you only the size of the square in the middle and asked if it was possible to get the size of the whole thing (the proportions were intentionally distorted a little so that you couldn't use a ruler). I showed it to a friend who had already graduated and was teaching high school math, and he said it wasn't possible. But I persisted that it was, and figured it out a few weeks later.

I'm flattered that this reminds anyone of Icat's work. It was just a doodle before I went to bed. Maybe soon I'll do a "for real" sky.
staci (Jul 18, 2004)
whatchoo talkin bout willis?
this is a very 'for real' sky...
the tree has great form and detail; in my opinion it couldnt get any better, even if you spent 3 hours on it
its very painterly and quickies are the best sometimes
LEELEE (Jul 18, 2004)
I love this!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jul 18, 2004)
I love this. I still like to lie lay on my back (whatever) in the grass or on the beach or wherever and look at the clouds. My daughter and I think this looks like you are in the mountains and looking up at the clouds. I have no idea where Dino got math out of that, but I hate math. Strange thing is I always like ppl who are good at it, though. Wonderful picture.

Very nice....You have tremendous talent. This would make a great series of boards.
You know...after browsing through so many artists on here....I think it would be fun to have a comic with each panel done by a different person on here. Creativity tag. Each artist does a panel, then picks the next one to do it....or else the moderators do...lol.....the trepidation of seeing memos waiting....wondering if you've been chosen for the next panel....Dont know if theres a suggeston box...but I'm going to look.
KiwiKitsune (Jul 18, 2004)
Woah! Woah, woah, woah! :D I LOVE the lineart on this! It's absolutely freaking amazing!! >> You gotta teach us all how to do stuff like that... *sighs*
Zack (edited Jul 18, 2004)
Believe it or not, the timer for this is pretty much accurate. I spent versions 5 and 9 doing nothing but cleaning up the lines. That's about 4 hours. For the antialiasing in version 9, all I did was crank up the music, zoom in to 300% or 400%, and set brush/eraser opacity to one-third.

Jack: The closest thing we have to a suggestion box is Marcello's inbox. It wouldn't hurt to post your idea in the forums too, so you could rally support. It sounds like a cool idea to me. Also, I like series because they give me certain limitations to work with... if you ever get stuck on what to do next, you just pick one of your series and continue it, y'know?

Ty: That one probably would have worked out pretty cool, but I didn't want this guy to look evil, so I decided against it.
Ty854 (Jul 19, 2004)
alrighty. you should do an evil one tho too. that'd be pretty cool.

You best do what she says.

My second attempt at realism, many thanks to DBA for the reference.
This pretty lady is a Victoria's Secret model, but I couldn't find her name anywhere. You'll have to ask DBA when she gets back.

Warning: utterly enormous picture (1024x768)
To see the full size image, view it individually and set the zoom to 100%. Right now the default zoom on this image is 25%. If your computer has difficulty resizing the image, go to your 2draw control panel, then the section labeled "Effects Settings," and disable the animated zoom feature.

Strong enough for a T-shirt, pH balanced for a desktop.

edit: I'm calling this finished for the moment in order to free up a slot in my studio. I'll work on it more later.

This one reminds me of the posters for that Python movie "The Life of Brian" dunno why!
taori (Jun 14, 2004)
that's classy. very classy. i like it. i'd buy the t-shirt.
Ty854 (edited Aug 2, 2004)
It's on my desktop now.
L.Monte_Slim (Sep 21, 2008)
I agree "classy"...Stately even. hum... But, I too feel there's a certain familiarity about this work. Maybe it is the way the large centered,"golden" colored image, draws the eye directly into the vanishing point on the horizon, at the base of that dramatic "starburst" effect. Now just a cotton pickin'... Perhaps someone less biased than I should also do a side by side comparison of this work and the honored banner flown daily over the 48th state of the Republic. simular? maybe it's just me... nah.

It's very pretty and shiny. The thumbnail makes me hungry for cinnamon rolls.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jul 8, 2004)
It's a very pretty thingy. To me it looks like a design on a pure gold Egyptian thingy of some kind. A very pretty Egyptian thingy, at that.
davincipoppalag (Jul 9, 2004)
Silly folks,,this is quite obviously a highly polished bronze age danish that has been petrified. I can see polisyhed cinnamon on it..Nice shiny surface mr zack

this is a very Cloxyish face... I like... I agree, those tablet users have it too easy... if I had one, maybe I could use the hand I REALLY write with... but why would I wanna do that?
Knockoff (Jul 9, 2004)
Hahaha, This is great Zach. Still reminds me of Zeps work.
diver2026 (Jul 9, 2004)
Yes - the mouse definitly favors the right handed folks - I've tried to use my left hand with it, It's just not comfortable, but I dont mind a little extra challenge (or the extra excuse for shaky lines)
emmamommalag (Jul 17, 2004)
LOL! Funny one, Zack. It's clearly legible here.
