Wow! Great coloring job.
I'm sure if you cleaned up your lines and added a background, you could post these guys in Advanced... Or at least made them look like Jesus' babies. Or something.

I like the simplicity of the image. It's very straight forward and it's cluttered with too many details. I do think that it could use a light grey background though, even if just a solid field of grey, because the large amount of white makes it look a little unfinished.

is it just me or does the position of the tail and the lean of the body look vaguely sexual?

Now that i have enough money... which tablet?

Obviously the choice is down to the Wacom Intuos and Graphire series. Help please! Even though i bought a really good (not to mention expensive) optical mouse earlier, it just doesn't feel natural drawing with a mouse >=( So i'm going for the tablet. Apparantly the Graphire3 i think it was has some software issues, so if you are currently using a one of these Wacom tablets, please let me know of any problems you have encountered. Maybe it's just my eyes (I see colors a little different from most people) but the color of the dragon and the sky seem to vibrate against each other and actually makes the dragon look like cut paper that's been glued on the background, a very cool and hard to get effect. Personally I think it looks good the way it is just for the colors.

I think the black outlines against the shades of grey give a certain richness to this. Especially where the lines go from thin to thick.

um,yeah, i agree with redpanda. while practicing is a good way to improve, this isnt intermediate quality, and the beginners board is THERE for practicing.

OMG!!! it's LILY! XD There is a guy at NC and he inspired me to be a beter artist...along with the help of Fitz and Magoo. Lily was the most inspiration to me though... She told me I was an equal artist with her...and that made me feel so many emotions....I finally have gotten good after 2 and a half painful years of only drawing..... Thankyou!

I think this drawing has potential, but I'm being distracted by how rough the lines are. That may have been intentional, to show that her hair is messy and she's concerned, but whenever I see pixelization of lines and sharp edges on them where individual pixels can be seen on an image this large it makes me think that maybe you weren't really in control of them. I normally use a low opacity/flow when making lines so I can better control them and I just go over them a few times until they're as dark as I want.
