well the description just says you should expect that, but not that it has to be that long. I think the point of it is to say how much effort and time is generally needed to get the level of quality we expect. That said, I think this image is a little underdeveloped and some more time on the neck and maybe some shading would help it.

I'm having a lot of trouble with the second person. Right now she (or at least she will be a she) looks like nothing more than a bunch of misshapen wire hangers. Anybody have any pointers? ^__^;;;;Hmmmm. . . I think this would be a heck of a lot easier if I had a tablet. There wouldn't se so many stray lines.
I'm a bit concerned with the proprtions of the woman. I have a sinking feeling that she's considerably smaller that the man. . . I can't quite tell. Does it look off to anyone? Oh, and they will have clothes eventually. I suck at clothes so that will probably be the last thing I do.

What? Clothes? BLASPHEMY!! Wait...you're doing this WITHOUT a tablet? WHAT? That is...unbelievable. That's totally amazing. Yes, the woman is smaller than the man, about child-size compared to him. I don't see a problem with that, however. I need to finish this one soon.
I'm sorry to do this guys, but I've had this in my inventory for ages. I hit a road block and just can't get myself around it. School has kept me off and has drained all of my creative energies. I'm hoping that starting with some room in my inventory will help me get back into the swing of things. >___<

I like the ethereal lighting, like this is a place of mystery. Some of the straight vertical and horizontal lines make it seem a bit manmade though.

The time isn't as important as the art itself, as far as I know, it's simply a guide that says roughly how long it may take to produce something of the quality expected. I feel this is intermediate quality because of the way the light and color was used to create a mood and the way it engages the viewer. I have something on this board that was only 19 minutes, but I was able to produce something acceptable in that time and so no one cared how long it took. |

it's my first drawing so don't mind if it's too bad. dragons are kinda my thing but it's really hard to draw anything on the computer. ^^

Although incredibly tiny I think it's nice. It sort of reminds me of the kind of art you'd see in an illuminated manuscript.

I have to wear a carpol tunnel arm thinging cause I have carpol tunel, I hate it and my mom wants my to waer it all the time... and guesss whoat? I'm not wearing it!!! It hurts more wearing than not wear it. dang! I think I'll just stick with the original pain!

there's a little too much blush and there's something wrong with the hair not that i can tell what is is (either shine form or amount). The coat wrinkles are too obvious |

Ok, I have two unrelated questions! 1) Befor you start to draw on this site, do you know what you are going to draw? Like colorwise and such, or do you just feel like drawing and come up with something off the top of your head? 2)Do you have any simple requests for me? I have no idea on what to draw. Of course I cannot take all requests, but I will see what I can do. I generally draw things with a reference, but I can make exceptions. OR.... If you do not want to make a suggestion or request, ...

Alex from Last Exile. He's a quiet, brooding, gothic, obsession of mine. ^_^ Has anyone else seen Last Exile? It's freaking AWESOME. XD XD XDThe timer probably lies. I had to take a shower, AND I accidentally clicked on something that sent me to another page before I finished. I got the picture back but it set the timer back down to zero. It should probably say somewhere around an hour and a half, if not two hours. WAH! Forgive me, Alex!! I do you no justice!!! T___________T *sniffle sob* Ugh... I hate small canvases... ><

I haven't seen that, but I have seen murata range's work in it. At least I think that was the artist. Anyways, I think you did very well at giving him a face with a clear expression. My faces tend to be neutral and emotionless.

Yeah, Range Murata did the concept art and initial sketches and stuff. He has such beautiful artwork... *sigh*Heh, thanks. I thought I kinda messed up on the expression because Alex usually does look emotionless, and if not emotionless he looks horribly depressed, and I think I made him look somewhat frustrated or worried or something. But I guess it's all right. ^_^

I saw Last Exile n.n It was pretty good, and this character was one of my favourites ^^;.. You did really nice, better than I could have done drawing him.

I think you are a fantastic artist, so I never bother to say good job or whatever, because it would be too redundant. Instead, I will say that those shading lines above her breasts look like hairy, hairy chest hair! |
