I don't play the games and don't know the character, but someone suggested I draw the black mage from final fantasy...reference pic practice on clothing and character recreation.

Dude, Marcello... thanks!! When I said "draw a Black Mage" I didn't think I'd get this. :) The Orko refrence is funny, because it's true; but in any case this Black Mage is better than Vivi could ever be! And thanks for putting in the glasses, that tops it off! I like the intricacy of his left glove, too. Heh. The whole thing is super-awesome. Thanks Marcello. Happy birthday to me!!

I'm not sure, but I think he probably did less detail on the body because the focus should be on the face, hand, and butterfly. I like it this way. It brings your attention directly to the point of focus.

I didn't say there was anytihng wrong with less detail/focus on the body, I'm just saying it doesn't have the same feeling as the head and hands. you can still keep something out of focus while fitting with the style/level of finish of the rest of the piece. Take his left arm for example.

I felt like drawing a gothy-type Aeris... at first I was gonna do an undead version of her (ie. resurrected after Seph kills her). But I like this melencholy, sad Aeris. She doesn't look scary or anything.

thats really cool. nice to think of aeris in a not-so-pink way. i love how everything but her face looks washed out or something (even if i am alone in that)

Hey Clox, Whatever that dude's always smokin aint too good for him, ya think? He looks a little green. :) lol On a serious note, i like it. Nice clean lines and i'm getting some sort of message from his head? Is that veins shaped like a tree, and is that the eternity symbol on his forehead? mysterious....

I don't know what to say, it's just awesome! I really like the way you shade and lighting your pictures, it's somewhat comic like and yet the detailed lines make it different from normal comic styles. Awesome!
