When I was younger, I would have a reoccuring dream of wormlike colors moving and twisting on a white screen, taking up my whole frame of vision. For some reason it petrified me. Then all the worms/threads would be gone with one left in the center of the screen and I would feel ok. So I decided to draw something of how it looked. My dreams have never been very lucid, and I'm envious of anyone who has realistic dreams, or can control what happens during sleep. I'm rarely aware that I am dreaming at all, and once or twice have confused something that I thought had happened in reality with a dream. Make sense? Oh well........*zzz* |

I got to say that I am amazed ya'll take the time to post after the drawings I see in showcase! I am lowly on this totem pole. I will keep trying tho, and ty for your comments, anyone wants to critic is so welcome too, I listen...DBA is the best ever! I miss you in ink but now I know where you are all the time hehe.

Great job! *applauds* The words are, like, perfect... did you do those freehand? Lovely partial face. The incompleteness definitely adds to the mystery of it all.

My only suggestion would be to add a lot more contrast to the face. It is completely overshadowed by the text logo, and loses most of its importance that way. I think if you took some of the brightness of v10 and added it to what you have now (and I'm not saying to make the whole thing bright, just towards the center, probably), I think you may surprise yourself. Then again, you may not.

I just looked at all the versions.. The final version is very nice, but I think #2 is the best. The darker foreground allows your eye to be drawn to the water. It's a calmer and more inviting scene. |

Of course I knew this was yours before I clicked on the thumbnail... funny how we get to know each other around here. :) So much life in every stroke, so uninhibited, and yet so "put together" when it's done. Very tough to accomplish. I have a feeling you are kind of like me in the respect that you aren't too comfortable at the computer, but look right at home with a paintbrush slopping paint everywhere. :)
