i quite agree with deadly that if you edited the pic to give it more detail, it would ruin the wonderful mysteryious feeling. marcello, you ARE being overly picky.

Yes, I do believe that was the problem, and you fixed it nicely. This is a good pic now... I like the added touch of the painting in the bg. :)

i can't see anything different with the two volumes(besides the fact that one is colored and the other isn't) but i don't think either is screwy! seriously, am i blind or am i just not an expirienced enough artist to see the difference?
oh, and this is really cool. like the dark colors, the painting, everything. ^^

wow, this is really cool, child! the borders really neat, the flames are soft yet stand out(not quite if that makes sense), and the job seems to really make steph happy, even tho it's not her job! seriosly, she can't stop talking about it! it's driving me NUTS! i;'m really happy for you, child. ^^

This is kinda strange but just because I'm bored of the regular old in and out of things, would anyone like to finish this? You can basically do what ever you want to it as long as you draw with the head, not around it or completely over it. Kinda like, this is the blank potato now you make it Mr. Potato head (not literally). Anyone up for it? even a good beginner? Just memo me if you're interested.

This is great though. You're never afraid to draw what a lot of people feel at some point in their lives but are afraid to draw, or just don't know how to express it.. you do it very well.

It's finished XD.I really like the bird's features^^.Something about the wings makes it look incomplete though.....it could be that there's too much of a solid area on its wings and it clashes with the detailed texture of its body.But the body itself is really well done.The night sky goes well with it too.Another awesome piece :)...

I don't really think this one looks that much like a watercolor... parts of it do, a low opacity setting and not much blending is one of the things that causes a watercolor effect. If you want an oil painting look, use a heavier opacity, a little larger brush and let your strokes show towards the end of your drawing. (Don't blend stuff too much at the end or it will look blurry) Hope that helps... This is pretty.. I like the way you composed it where the hall leads to the window view.
