If this place exists, I'm moving.

^_____^ Very pretty.

Another picture! A picture is worth a thousand words! Yay! I am proud of you! This is beautiful. So that's how they get the butter to be salty sometimes. :)

i want to come live in your mind...actually, take out the water, and that looks like where i live...
marcello (Apr 11, 2004)
dunno, I like sun on the ground. not a fan of overcast
laurael (Apr 11, 2004)
Ooh...great pic! The sky is just...to die for...love those clouds, and water, and those itty, bitty, tiny buildings...
LovelyLori (Apr 12, 2004)
perty perty... that's what it looks like around my neck 'o da woods...
davincipoppalag (edited Apr 12, 2004)
Suggestions on the best way to "sunny" up the ground? I was also considering a larger tree in the right foreground .. would that wreck it?
LovelyLori (Apr 12, 2004)
well I can never remember what colors work with others, but when you use the lighten tool, and blend, choose one of the brightest colors, and lighten the ground, just experiment.. 'cause the lighten tool creates other colors when it's blended with say, bright green, hot pink, red, yellow.... some other color will show lit up in the grass... and if ya get lucky and find the right one, it'll be a sunny yellowy-green... if that helps any.... LOL

I like this picture a lot, but it seems a little too dark for me. but do like the picture. :o)

Well.. I brightened it up.. I like it better..
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 13, 2004)
Yes, that is much better. It feels warmer now.

This looks like New Zealand , wanting to go back. You don't see much land between houses here in Vegas. Can you imagine having a studio in one of those barns? Wow! a dream come true. Beautiful, and peaceful.
Noremac (Apr 13, 2004)
i wanna draw little guys in armor walkin around and maybe even killin each otehr on this, or make a civil war picc outta it that would be awesome
davincipoppalag (Apr 13, 2004)
...and I want a red Ferrari.
Aubrey (Apr 13, 2004)
lol... i think a civil war pic coming out of this would kill it, ironically. It's really really nice as it is. A tree coming out of the right corner might clutter up the "openy" feeling of the picture but could also add drama to the peaceful scene. I like it how it is though.. vast... gorgeous... land.. with as beautiful a sky to compliment it. Very nicely done Poppa :)
gloworm043 (Apr 14, 2004)
Just beautiful...as usual! I'm amazed at the tiny details of your work..very nice 'D'
emmamommalag (Apr 15, 2004)
A lovely scene, poppasweetie... wonderful clouds. The only thing I'd change would be to detail those bushes on the right.. they're kinda blurry.
davincipoppalag (Apr 15, 2004)

Oh must try landscapes after seeing this!
debem (Apr 30, 2004)
I love the colors!!! I'd like to walk right into your painting and dip my feet in the ocean.
emmamommalag (edited May 4, 2004)
I just looked at all the versions.. The final version is very nice, but I think #2 is the best. The darker foreground allows your eye to be drawn to the water. It's a calmer and more inviting scene.
