I have no idea why she asked me to do this, with all of the wonderful "portrait" artists here like Gigandas, Icats, well, pretty much everybody can do ppl better than me. I'll do my best.

Maybe download the lates edtion of Java from www.java.com? Glad you came back. Your dad is doing some great stuff! Get your brother out from under that VW and make him draw!

Thanks for the suggestion, davinci. I downloaded the latest version of java but it still didn't help. I understand the problem might have something to do with some sort of limitation that Lascaux has with the IE browser. I have no intention of changing my preferred browser just to accommodate an online drawing so I guess I will just have to live with it.

So glad you came back to draw! I love the colors you used here... keep messing around with the applet and soon it'll be just like painting or drawing in real medium... you'll get used to it. :) (I recommend sticking with the Lascaux) |

I think when Moderators move or delete art work, it should be publically posted as to who and, why the comment or work was deleted, or moved. They should be held accountable for their actions, and not remain behind the cloak of anonymity.

Oooooh, this thing made my heart do a hop-skippity-leap when I saw it. Takes alot to do that to me. I can see both versions perfectly, but v4 has some sort of a more eerie effect for me for some reason. One of your best lately, cloxbaby. :)edit: It's got some really cool something going on, because my daughter's not easily affected either and it made her nauseated. :D good work.

This picture just has an aura of sweetness, for some reason. :) It reminds me of when I was little, my friend Julie down the street had this HUGE box of beautiful marbles, and there was this great big one I always wanted and she wouldn't give it to me... so I STOLE it!!!!! My conscience bothered me so badly I took it back the next day and never stole anything again in my life. I had forgotten about her. And lightning struck a tree next to her house and it fell onto the roof and landed in their living room. Isn't it funny how one little drawing can conjure up so many memories...? :).

Just imagine that you are Mr. Wilson and Dennis the Menace, following some plans he and his friends made, sneaked into your house while you were sleeping, moved the painting in the living room to your kitchen and stole 8 candies from the jar in your kitchen. Now do you all understand why Wilson was always mad at Dennis? >:DOh, and I like your drawing very much, xwindflyer. It is very colourful, I always like to pick colourful stones and shells when I go to the beach. As for moving your drawing to another board, I cannot say much as the names of the boards do not mean anything to me, the drawings are the ones that have a meaning. |XOD|

The only thing is,... now I can't do anything to try and fix it if I wanted to, because I am over the limit on kb space in Intermediate. I guess thats just the way it's going to be.

Well, if you still want to work on this, you can memo any moderator and ask for space (try memo'ing the active ones). Just don't forget to give the mod a link to the picture... and then wait.. for a while. |

oi! I cannot believe I missed this one. I was scanning through ur gallery and I saw this one and forgot to comment! (thanks by the way. I feel so accomplished when I realize I've inspired someone! )comment: I like the smooth brush strokes you've applied to this portraiture.The skin tones are great and I love the purple highlights.The hairstyle is awesome and has that lovely 'woosh' effect that I always favor.Like Davinci said, the eye on the left looks a tad bit smaller in relation to the other. It's tedious sometimes to get the eyes working, I think everyone seems to have a hard time with that, eventually it'll kick in. The background is totally something I would do. Very painterly. Overall, fantastic job!

Very Kasha-like. :) She definitely has one of the coolest, uninhibited styles going around here. It's probably such a leap from mine I don't think I'd know where to begin. You even got close to the palette she uses. Shows you are very observant and insightful. |
