You can shift layers in shi-painter...it's somewhat complicated, and I forget if it's possible in classic mode.

I think it's somewhat possible, by using the Copy Tool... But you have to erase background noise, make the background transparent (Remask+Eraser) and sometimes, you need to have space to 'swap' the layers... But I am not sure if it always works.
This looks like it would turn out nice, too.

There wasn't much we could do about this, because when mkk tried to edit, it came out all scribblelydee. And for me as well. Oh well, enjoy anyway. ~_~;;

The bubbles annoyed me, so I got rid of the black outline. I also toned down the harsh light. I'm done now. Seriously. I think.

Oh, shiny is right. Shiny makes everything great.
It would have been great anyhow. But since it's shiny, it's even better. o_o Why must I have an affinity for Shiny Objects...
The lines are also great, along with the movement.

looks nice, but one change I'd recommend is adding some more contrast in the shading, on the shirt and neck/below the head.

knockoff: why not? the picture looks pretty crappy at the moment overall, with many huge holes in it, plus you're no where near the space limit.
