i never understood how you people do fur.
Felistorm (Feb 20, 2006)
looks like you are doing good so far with the fur. I have just been learning on here and I use lascaux but I'd bet you can do it in the other. I just lower the opacity and use a smaller brush to do the lines and it looks like you have the right idea with the nose and between the eyes.

The thing I like about it is that it looks really good.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 20, 2006)
I can already see where this is going, so I'll say "wow" now, and then I"ll say one less wow when you're finished. (I still want to do one of these, here, but since I'll feel compelled to paint every stupid little hair singularly I'm not sure I have enough lives left to do it.)
Natsuna (Feb 20, 2006)
I think it should be put in showcase when done o.o
HunterKiller_ (Feb 20, 2006)

nekodesu (Feb 23, 2006)
wow...the fur looks amazing..looks so soft that I could acutally picture myself petting that cute tiger XD
Awesome work!
HunterKiller_ (Feb 23, 2006)
I want one. =3
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 23, 2006)
You can't have one, if you get one your brothers and sisters will want one, too, and we just can't afford to buy a sheep farm to feed it.
Rudeezy (Feb 23, 2006)
Awesome job Kristine. :)

I've been waiting for this one to be finished, and it looks pretty. :D
This needs a showcase.
Gemmy619 (Feb 23, 2006)
This came out really great, its so cute :)
Qwerty_Wittle_Fawah (Feb 23, 2006)
awww looks at da wittle kitty cat! He's so cute! Too bad he could eat my face...but freakin' awesome job!
Felistorm (Feb 23, 2006)
OMG I just can't stop staring at this one.
davincipoppalag (Feb 23, 2006)
The ear part doesn't look quite finished? The rest of the fur is so detailed and good, and that part around the inner rim of the ear seems less detailed. It's probably just me. It's a fabulous drawing!
Opium (Feb 24, 2006)
very nice kristine! I knew it was going to be gorgeous :) you inspired me to do a furry creature picture. Hopefully it'll be half as pretty as yours!
sephiroth54321 (Feb 24, 2006)
This looks great kristine...keep it up...
xiau (Feb 24, 2006)
I feel like if I touch the screen I'll feel fur.
It looks so soft! I wanna pet it D:>
kristine (Feb 24, 2006)
this picture sucks...
BunnySlippers (Feb 24, 2006)
Stop saying that. You know it's not true. ;D
Roytje (Feb 24, 2006)
Are you kidding?? This is superb! Lovely fur!
Deino (Feb 24, 2006)
Incredible Kristine, the fur looks so lovely and real, I can feel it. The tiger has a cute "oh I'm absolutely beautiful" looks in his eyes.
kristine (Feb 24, 2006)
thanks everyone.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Feb 24, 2006)
I know how much work you put into this and you should be very proud of it.
Zack (Feb 24, 2006)
It's got this interesting soft quality, like it was painted on felt.
DoOp (Feb 25, 2006)
this is hawt and sexy ^^ I give claps to you! ^_^
kristine (Feb 25, 2006)
:)
davincipoppalag (Feb 25, 2006)
This is even better than pix did, softer , and more real looking. This is in my personal Showcase..So good.
laurael (Feb 25, 2006)
I agree. See...told ya.
emmamommalag (Feb 25, 2006)
This is the best tiger I've seen. That fur looks so soft.
kristine (Feb 26, 2006)
^_^
Gigandas (Feb 26, 2006)
In my opinion, I think each piece is nice in their own way. I don't really like to say that one is necessarily better than another between pieces. There's just variety...
Cause come to think of it, pix's tiger was done all in solids I think, so it was more of a stylized tiger with edgy gradations, but it still worked. This tiger is more realistic in that it has smoother transitions and just an overall softness and a peaceful look on his/her face which work pretty well if you ask me. Both pieces have my respect...
laurael (Feb 26, 2006)
I was saying earlier that Pix's tiger did not demolish this one. Both styles are very pleasing to look at and done very well...but for me, personally, I do like this one a bit more.
terracotta (Feb 27, 2006)
What everyone else said (SHOWCASE!!!) plus the thing about this that I find particularly thrilling is the colours you've used. They are Tiger Perfection. The way you've allowed the black hairs to show through the white is so beautiful. The texture on the nose is just so darned Cat. Very, very fine work.
kristine (Feb 27, 2006)
:}
Axil62 (Feb 27, 2006)
This one is better than pix's
Miss_DJ (Feb 27, 2006)
I can't believe how wonderful this is! excellent job!
Opium (edited Feb 28, 2006)
DoOp gave you the clap? I hear they have medicine for that now

and on comparing the two tiger pics, I agree that it's not fair to compare such two different styles. Kristine got the realism 100% in this pic, where Pix's doesn't have much realism and goes more on a different style. And as for no showcase? I'm P.O.ed! hehe It deserves to be there, but then again, that's also one person's opinion on what they deem good and not so good, which blows sometimes, ya know?
suzie (Feb 28, 2006)
OMG..this was well worth the wait to see it finished!..Its Gorgeous..just such a beautiful draw of a beautiful creature. I don't really know how Showcase works..but I would say this piece is deffinately worthy of being just that 'Showcase' :D
thug (Feb 28, 2006)
what everyone else said, this is great!
Zack (Feb 28, 2006)
If you really want to see a picture showcased, you can try sending a memo to one or two of the moderators with your suggestion. That won't guarantee that it'll be showcased, but at least that way you might get a response that explains why the moderators don't feel a picture should be showcased. I have a few particular reasons for not showcasing this picture, but I do appreciate the time, effort and skill that went into making it.
kristine (Feb 28, 2006)
i would agree with zack. i dont find this picture showcasable because i didnt use enough detail in the strands of fur among other things. i do appreciate the comments though. :)
purpleee (Feb 28, 2006)
hmmm ~ if i said lovely pic would i be talking to myself??? lol
Ceido (edited Feb 28, 2006)
It looks so fluffy. Fluffier than real life! Really good draw. :) I'd say showcase too.
juut (Feb 28, 2006)
very real, you have the skills ^__^
BlitzCloud (edited Mar 2, 2006)
Kristine rules :)

I wont add anything more saying how good this picture is, because i would crap my message. Basically two words: deserves showcase. There are some errors, yep; but still its her best piece so far. Its not like, this should be showcase because she spent alot of time... If you dont see the magnificent expression of a calmed tiger, like a peacefull guardian, i pity you. I think this kind of drawings shouldnt be in an (almost) hidden user folder, it would be nice to come to the frontpage and see her drawing there, at the left.

But its not my decision, so...
marcello (Mar 2, 2006)
my main reason for not showcasing this is all the people suggesting it.
BlitzCloud (Mar 2, 2006)
normally people dont have to say showcase when its already there :)
nobody (Mar 2, 2006)
a piece's presence (or lack thereof) in a showcase does not change the quality or beauty of it; nor does it affect the ability of admirers to appreciate it. quit worrying about silly status symbols and enjoy it. if anything, filling the comments below it with whines about why it is or isn't showcased is the only weakening factor here.

well done kristine.
kristine (edited Mar 2, 2006)
I'm not too worried about showcase. I'm just happy that I can sit down and say, "Hey, this isn't half bad."
rissa (Mar 7, 2006)
this is my faverate picter on 2draw.
kristine (Mar 18, 2006)
Why Thank you ^_^.
HeLL-O (Mar 18, 2006)
