just wanted to test out how good it was for spriting. Not bad :)Notice in the animation how i used a colour pallete on the canvas, this comes in handy with right click to select color
marcello (edited Apr 8, 2002)
If you right click on the palette, you can put a color in the spot. |

This didnt take as long as the time says, although it still did take a while..I had my lunch and It wouldnt let me upload, saying I wasnt logged it, when I was...you should get that checked cello ;P.Anyway, this is my first Oekaki using my brand spanky new tablet, and its a LOT better than my last one, as you might be able to tell..

dave: were you logged in with 'remember' mode or not? Plus, how did you end up submitting it if you got that error...I have a possible additional fix I can do, but if the problem occured with remember mode, I haven't a clue. (That should let you draw for 60 days.)
kowst (edited Apr 8, 2002)
The same thing happened to me. It wouldnt let me submit, but I kept pressing back on the browser and then pressing submit again, and eventually it just worked. *shrugs*

That looks more like a mouse than a cat. Her overalls straps certainly are precariously placed.

Made entirely with the watercolor tool. Might go back and add someone walking through it later.

This is the last warning. This board is ONLY intended for testing out the tools, not for actually drawing anything that looks like anything! From now on I will delete anything you post that shouldn't be here. use the public boards Because there is a lot of cool stuff on this board still, I'll be moving them to the other boards soon, but I haven't coded the move script yet. The site will be opening soon, and I'd like to thank everyone who's helped test it so far. Marce...

Look! It's a piece of egg on a blue car! No, it's a cloud and a misshapen sun in an abnormally blue sky! (Where I live we have a yellow sky ...) |

LightBen (edited Apr 9, 2002)
Don't worry Kowst, practice and you'll be able to draw a Yu-Gi-Oh! picture so cool that ... that ... It would be unreal ! :)

I can draw Kuriboh... and on a good day maybe a sketchy Bakura, but that's about it. |

Yay. My first-ever 2draw picture. How do you pros do all your amazing artwurk, with two layers and a few tools? I'm being serious! ...
Sprite (edited Apr 6, 2002)
I do know the eyes are off, and the coloring is horrible. And the glasses are stilted. If you can share techniques, that'd be cool. :)
skn3 (edited Apr 6, 2002)
this looks cool :D, well not saying iam an expert, but i tend to, when drawing a major piece, is draw a sketch, the go over on the second layer wit hthe final outline, then switch back and color behind, so as to not go over the lines, the shading i find best with normal pencil tool, then anti alais, or water color for blending

Glad you could join us. :-)PaintBBS takes a little getting used to, but it's not too hard to figure out. I'm thinking of writing a page on tips and tricks for PaintBBS, and maybe a better manual of sorts, but I don't know if I'll have time.

Hey Marcello! You could always ask the 100+ artists here to write such a page for you, and stick it somewhere on the index page. (Congrats on the accomplishments, btw, the 1000 hits *and* the 100+ members!) |

Hey cello, i have a suggestion. I think you should allow each person to have thier own personal testing board that comes with thier account. It would be sweet if you could play around and draw things without having to show other people, then have an option to post them onto a board if you are proud of them, or delete them if they suck. Please put this idea into consideration, and maybe a reply would be good :) Thanks!

in retrospect, what a horrible picture. oi.
Bug should be fixed, but I'll have to fix all the entries manually.
