A ghostly master of samurai. My first drawing here...heh.
renire (Aug 24, 2005)
*Hack wheeeeze!* Di....did....did you just say this is your FIRST drawing on here????? *Cough* HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!
AuschwitzBurns (Aug 24, 2005)
This is an excellent first drawing. The sword could use a bit of touching up, but other than that's it perfect. I wish you lots of luck here.
lycene (Aug 24, 2005)
Welcome to 2draw! I agree with Auschwitz that the sword doesn't have the same quality as the rest of the samurai, but I love the hands very much.
imaperson24 (Aug 25, 2005)

I never could get the hang of tones. You do them very well. I love the brown cloudiness of the background.
KH44N (Aug 24, 2005)

Childlike_Vampire (Aug 26, 2005)

RainingFlowers

I hate drawing the ocean. It sucks...
RainingFlowers (Aug 23, 2005)
Its the Ocean City in Maryland. Actually, I got this from a postcard, but it looks different so I might still be a little origional.
emmamommalag (Aug 23, 2005)
I love the colors in this. It's very nice. I did one of the Ocean City, New Jersey seashore at sunrise. It was from a post card, also.
lycene (Aug 24, 2005)
Ooh, pretty. I love how the colors are so bright and vibrant, yet this is a very calm, passive scene.I need something to put in the foreground... the ocean looks blank and boring.

Fan-art... For some show I caught interest in. Fate is my favorite out of all the characters so I picked her to draw.
KH44N (Aug 22, 2005)
This looks beautiful. The hair looks great and the eyes look fabulous. I like the highlights on the hair and the background looks rather cool. Great work and keep it up!
Urei-sama (Aug 22, 2005)

Bah. Stupid background. It's supposed to be the color of the board, but it didn't work, as you can see. I also switched painting styles halfway through. Can you tell?
Xodiak (edited Aug 22, 2005)
I think his hand reaches upwards indeed. It almost looks like he holds a camera above him and takes a picture of himself. The perspective of the ground makes me think so. This is an awesome drawing, it has the feeling of a painting on canvas but it still is extremely realistic. And the face is so sweet! Excellent artwork. <:)|XOD|
lycene (edited Aug 22, 2005)
Actually, I think the photographer did take the picture of herself, so her arm would be reaching upwards and that would account for the perspective. So sorry for not posting the reference, I had put it on originally, but since the pics got seperated during a saving glitch, I forgot about it. Here it is: Linkage!Ooh, and it's a she, I believe. Otherwise, a very pretty boy. And, Raiknii, thank you so much for your nice memo. If only everyone here were as thoughtful as you.
Xodiak (Aug 22, 2005)
You really made her great... Especially the shirt and the folds! |:)|XOD|
LisaAnne (Aug 25, 2005)
The lip position is great, and the realistic texture of the hair is also eye catching. |

An iris, simple enough. I think it's a Japanese one, but I'm not a botanist, so...This is based off of a photo of an iris at http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/county/smith/media/Iris%202.jpg. since I like having a picture to look at, but I took some creative license. I also took a peek at http://facstaff.hsc.unt.edu/rbarton/Iris/hexas/gigant_ds.jpg for the leaves' color, but I modified to my liking on the leaves, too. The thing in the background is supposed to be a hedge, but it's sorta hard to tell, isn't it? ^_^ Someday I shall make this into an icon or something. Someday. Knowing me, it'll be a long time.
davincipoppalag (Aug 22, 2005)
Very pretty drawing.. No, I have no idea what the random junk in the background is. It just looked stupid to me, with just a flower in the middle and lots of... empty space. Anyhoo, it's supposed to be a weeping willow and a rosebush in front of a hedge... Not sure if that image actually comes across.
It still looks stupid to me (unbalanced somehow, I think?), but I've run out of ideas, so this is done. Maybe I'll come back and edit it a little someday, but I don't think the concept will change much anymore.
KH44N (Sep 28, 2005)
I think this turned out fabulous! I said it before and i'll say it again, excellent work! ^__^

Something different.
Urei-sama (Aug 25, 2005)
cool. this is really nice. i like the designes
AuschwitzBurns (Aug 26, 2005)
With the whole "Harp of Silence" idea, wouldn't it be a little more to the meaning if it didn't have strings? Or if the strings were all snapped or made of bone or something like that. Very nice work, anyways.
HunterKiller_ (Aug 27, 2005)
Having no strings would be a clever idea but according to the the thesaurus, 'silence' is under the word 'death', therefore, this is a harp that brings death when played. Basically, itself is not silent, but it renders any souls silent who were unfortuante enough to hear it.
KaykuyoAkabane (Aug 30, 2005)
Wholy cow! This is so...Wow. Its amazing! Really! Wow. Wow, Can I say Wow? Keep up the amazing work!! <3 |
