Bah. Stupid background. It's supposed to be the color of the board, but it didn't work, as you can see. I also switched painting styles halfway through. Can you tell?

It looks better! Don't you hate when wierd stuff messes up a picture in progress!

You have such a pretty style. :) I love the shape of the face, the eyes, and the bit of blushyness. Nice soft drawing, I can't wait to see it done.
davincipoppalag (Jul 18, 2005)
There's two of these! THis one.. and the one you started with!

Yay! Thanks so much for the added space, Marcello! I can't work on it for another week, as I'm on vacation, but I'll start again as soon as I get back!

Hmm. Out of space, again, so it's done. Really.

Rosemary (Aug 21, 2005)
wow great drawing! lovely eyes :)
lycene (Aug 22, 2005)
Ooh, you like the hair? Yay, that was one of the things that gave me trouble. The eyes, too, were really hard here, for some reason. Usually I love doing eyes, but this was tricky.
Anna (Aug 22, 2005)
Lovely drawing, lycene. :-) Looks very painted!
Mal (Aug 22, 2005)
I really like this drawing :0) & I really like the way you did the eyes.
Raiknii (Aug 22, 2005)
Wow, this is a really good picture. The eyes and the hair are especially good.

The sleeve is a little wierd, though - I can't tell where his arm is reaching, and there seems to be a lot of cloth. If you meant it to be that way, I'm sorry, but I think cloth should only bunch like that when the arm is reaching up. Hm.. That's something to try the next time I test what poses are physically possible. * adds to mental list*

I love your application of green on the skin, too. It's really hard for me to do that without making the skin look... green. Like, ugly I'm-about-to-puke or I'm-a-alien green.

I think his hand reaches upwards indeed. It almost looks like he holds a camera above him and takes a picture of himself. The perspective of the ground makes me think so. This is an awesome drawing, it has the feeling of a painting on canvas but it still is extremely realistic. And the face is so sweet! Excellent artwork. <:)

Actually, I think the photographer did take the picture of herself, so her arm would be reaching upwards and that would account for the perspective. So sorry for not posting the reference, I had put it on originally, but since the pics got seperated during a saving glitch, I forgot about it. Here it is: Linkage!
Ooh, and it's a she, I believe. Otherwise, a very pretty boy.
And, Raiknii, thank you so much for your nice memo. If only everyone here were as thoughtful as you.
Xodiak (Aug 22, 2005)
You really made her great... Especially the shirt and the folds! |:)

The lip position is great, and the realistic texture of the hair is also eye catching.
