This is a request from Miss Marini... she asked me to draw characters from a cartoon called "Danny Phantom" having sex... and so I did. <:)

This is for Silvair. The Bunichi picture was absolutely perfect! I didn't know how else to thank you besides draw something for you, too.

Sorry though, I'm a bad color matcher.

EDIT: Many thanks to the moderator who gave me the extra space! I was surprised when I saw it. I wish I knew who did it, though.
EDIT2: WHOA-HO, showcase? My first showcase? This is ridiculously exciting! Thank you so much!

REALLY LATE EDIT 3: I just wanted to come back and thank everybody for the wonderful comments and support. I love you all, I really do.

Yes, I wanted to revise it another time, but I hadn't enough space (for the second time :()
But thank you!
Cordelia_Pink (Mar 4, 2008)
dude, how could this not make it to the Showcase?? haven't seen one of these styles in a very, very long time! you did an excellent job, I knew instantly that it was Van Gogh. I like your take on this too because you didn't try to make it look exactly like it, and there's a blur in parts of it that makes it look softer compared to the orig. that has all the intricate details, which seem quite intense and sharp. But you still did great.
Roytje (Apr 4, 2008)
Thank you! Such a comment means a lot to me :)

Very nice Roytje! I too have this print in living room. Thought about recreating it, but man, so tedious.

full responsibility for the randomness of this picture lays squarely on the shoulders of one 'Kyle Supersupreme Assmonkey Pirate of the Seventh Sea' (omgwtf :D)

showcase please.
terracotta (Dec 28, 2005)
Very beautiful. The colours are so lovely and her expression is compelling--I get a sense of worry or indecision. The only thing I might suggest working on is the dark shadow above her eyelid--if you could soften the edge of that to give the impression of a smoother increase in the roundness of the bone structure just below the eyebrow.

terracotta (edited Dec 27, 2005)
Oooo. I love the way you've mixed the desaturated tones of the hat and her skin with the supersaturated colours of her lips, her kimono and the background. The hat is *ahem* well, dammit, amazing. Love the tension in the chin strap/skin and the way you've just managed to hide her eyes from the viewer...so we're always trying to peer up under the edge of the hat. Critiques? Hmmm. That gorgeous bouncelight underneath her chin makes me wish there was a tiny bit of shine on the skin of her cheek. But's that nitpicking. I love this.
comd (Mar 19, 2006)
It's insane how much subtle texture is in the skin here. I can't begin to imagine how to do this with lascaux sketch, and it'd still be incredible regardless of the medium.
