New here. Would welcome advice on the hair. Used the blender and set the opacity low, but it still looks really fake.

I reworked the hair and it looks more natural now I think. I didn't realize you could go back into a "finished" drawing.
tandrew971 (Apr 20, 2006)
i really like that about this site..being able to go and fix something even after its finished. the hair looks great (as does the rest)
Meno (Mar 7, 2008)
Whaddaya talkin' 'bout? I like the hair .... like golden strands of wheat.
QTgillie (Jun 23, 2009)
i think how the hair is finalized is fabulous.

Just still trying to get the tools to work. Ended up with this odd shaped canvas so made the best of it! The cloud tool is cool tho.

It reminds me of those old curlers... kinda like spools. Those were waaaaaay back, though. You probably don't even remember them. lol
DeTroy (Apr 5, 2006)
Now what Gerbear has achieved here is to perfectly amalgamate the images that in everybodies minds when you say flying saucer. Forget everything you see in films, and be honest...this is what a flying saucer would definitly look like....plus it comes with the optional extra of having a cheeky, animated quality....
DeTroy (Jul 13, 2006)
I think actually that saucer does not contain fierce monster life forms but a kind of cosmic teddy bear with a smiley happy face, just playing...discovering new worlds not for science or war but as places to play. They have grasped that the universe is to roam in not to make enemies but playmates, not to cause fear but friendship, not to show hate but love....they would have to be bears to know that...
QTgillie (Jun 23, 2009)
wow, I did not know you even had stuff here gerri. nicely done.

Hi, gel-o! I missed your awesomeness (is that a word?) so I came here and found you and Gillie and Starz ... Gerry's hiding here somewhere, too, right? I need to get caught up ;)
gerbear (Mar 14, 2008)
Nice work here gel-o. you and jpjp are sure missed at that "other" place *G*

montezmaria (Jan 20, 2009)
Hi Gel-o....love this twister, wow. The coloring and formation to it is awesome...great drawing. I'm one of those when I hear of a tornado warning that is outside looking for it, where, where? However, I'd be the first to run for cover when I seen it crap'n my pants...lol.

Prelimanary sketch.

The next installment of Steven Brust's Jhereg series. I highly recommend you go out to your library and check them out. Good fun and a good read. Color later. Needed safety save.

Shout out to comd who gave me the idea to do this by seeing his Draconian sketch. The people in the books are actually called that. Small world.

gerbear (Mar 14, 2008)
Hi Meno, keep at it, you will get the hang of it.
Sweetcell, different strokes for different folks, we don't all draw online for the same reasons. I did some very successful professional pieces here yet I prefer Sketchfu. Just comparing oranges and apples Sweets.
thanks Fuzzy, this is my best piece here and it took me forever!!!
QTgillie (May 20, 2008)

This is for Davincipoppa who's been sweet to comment on many of my pics (even the cruddy ones) and well, just because. Hope you like Dave.

I put this in advanced for the space. The mods can put it down to Intermediate if they have a mind.

And oi... so much fricken rigging......
