This is beautiful. The black and white only adds to the sorrow of this piece. My generation is one of the last to remember, vividly, that day... I still recall the way the whole nation held its breath afterward.

Somedays I rememberI apologise to those above who were commenting on my original drawing. Somehow, it changed and I had no idea it was going to. I draw from "inside" a lot. This is just where the skull led me.

It was not when I drew this, but today it is, so I am commenting on my own drawing. I flew out of New York City exactly 24 hours before the planes hit. I was in town for a wedding, my cousin and her fiance who worked in the Trade Center for Cantor Fitzgerald on one of the floors where no one survived. Had they not married that weekend and left for their honeymoon, he would be gone now. They came back and attended dozens of funerals for his co-workers. I guess this image was inside me jes waiting to appear and finally it did.

The idea is really cool, and colors fit reallly well together, but still stands out from each other enough so that we can see everything clearly. It's so hard to pick colors like that (for me, at least) |

It's my best friends birthday today so I promised her I'd make her a cake. She's more deserving then anyone I know having gone through a lot of horrors last year, and still facing some tough times ahead. But sweeting everything'll be alright. what..when..nice work!does look guyish, but i think its the nose. edit: okok see...version one is much more feminine..i think when you cleaned up the side of the face you changed the jaw and cheekbones, giving her a more masculine look.
