This is dedicated to the Return of The King ending theme; Into The West. I think its a lovely song. "Why do the white gulls call, across the sea!" Lol.

I originally did a work similar to this with oil on canvas about 10 years ago. I believe it was while I was studying a book called "How to Paint Roses".

aww, what can I say, it's so beautiful! I like the soft color, and the way the flowers are, it's almost as if they have expressions

welcome!! that is an awesome first draw! a few tips...make your canvas a little bigger...it helps not to have to squish everything in there...nice job on the sky...maybe a little more shading on the ground...shadows and such...but very nice!!!
heart_songz (Jan 27, 2004)
how do you make the canvas bigger??
dixielandcutie (Jan 27, 2004)
i believe you can only do that at the beginning when you pick the applet...at the very bottom left...itll have the dimensions and you can change um...i dont think you can change it for this one tho...

thanks for noting that shadow, while a wonderful cat, was NOT a magical floating kitty lol,and i made a mistake along the bottom and couldnt seem to fix it so im faking it and calling it frost...im sure this layering is easier than it seems. lol

I'm going to call it done-I like it but no one seems to comment on it...
Gigandas (edited Jan 26, 2004)
What do you mean no one seems to comment on it><?I just haven't seen it yet....until now^^.I REALLY like this one.Just looking at it reminds me of things that the pros come up with.I love the title too and how well it goes along with this picture.Very nice, and looking forward to seeing the completion of the one you're drawing for me as well as the FFX drawing >v<.
dixielandcutie (Jan 27, 2004)
i like it a lot. it is very painfully bright tho...which could be a good thing. but the idea is really sweet, and you did a nice job on the hands!

i really like the eyes! haha, and i would suggest some shading ...you did some on the lips and eyes, but none on the skin, hair or background...*wow, did -i- just say that* hah, anyway, lookin good, keep it up
