..hahaha^^ ..YOU GO GRANNY! you're still young^^
Caddris (Oct 14, 2005)
This is hilarious! I love the textures of the fabric too.
ambermac (Oct 23, 2005)
excellent original draw! fingers look a little stubby due to the foreshortening. you might try a "cheat" and make one or two fingers longer, curled, or further apart, just to break up the repetitive finger shapes.
Flubbles (Nov 1, 2008)
Just thought id bring this up to the front! |

Wel we werent really working on it so i just wanted it to be done.
me007 (Apr 3, 2005)
well.. I was waiting for you to do someting Donny.. I wasnt going to draw the whole fricking picture... : /
Amethysts (Apr 4, 2005)
Donny, I think it might have been better if you took some time to work on this by yourself... I think you did a great job "helping" me007. ;)The face is fabulous.
ambermac (Oct 23, 2005)
i recognized him immediatly! good job--so glad to see someone other than jim morrison or john lennon up here. i wouln't change anytning on the face. i might add a little more "volume" to his shoulders. i like the way you drew his face in a sketchy treatment, but his body is graphic. maybe you can add in a bold horizontal rainbow to compliment all the gray. |

Perfect. Thank you method3. I think that's an excellent closing statement for this debate.
marcello (Oct 10, 2005)
love the link.
Caddris (Oct 11, 2005)
I'm sorry. That was a generalized statement; not directed all at you.Isn't that how all this got started in the first place?
ambermac (Oct 20, 2005)
nice rant. i agree. copying is a fine exercise as long as you credit the original photo. using your own voice is always a greater risk--which is why it's much more fun on all sides. in the fine art world, artists who do this sort of thing always add an indicator in the title. they'll say, "after ____insert artist's name". what gets me are those "pros" in galleries who blatantly lift another artist's style and call it their own. |
