Hi! I'm new here. I'm a bit shy!I decided to post a simple and cute picture as my first, I hope it is okay! ( It says it took long, but in fact I was cooking) A Tibetan Terrier puppy meeting a hamster! No real reference used, but I see my dog of the same breed every day so I have a good idea of what they look like. |

I have been thinking how we could work best as a team. Composition and feel of colors are 2 issues. So I searched for a black and white ref which will be the composition-guideline:

– latest 4:mlle in magdeburg III - by Adonel I think it has a lot of interesting things going on and it should be fun to mess with all these structures. This is just a rough start...feel free to change anything you want, but you should keep it grayscale. Let's see how we can get along :) Have fun!

Gettng the hang of it so fast Star, and I see you've gotten a love for the sharp tool. You and Miss DJ should talk.The eye though seems oddly placed. Makes it look.... wierd. I feel it should be up and closer to the beak. But hey, good piece.

You should be a professional artist the way you put these things out. I can't keep up with them. Somehow I missed this one and tought the last one you did was the only one I didn't see. The parchment and the way it curls really adds to this. I don't know what the sharp tool is I will have to see if I can find it next time I draw. What applet do you use to do these Starz? Is it the Lasaux? It is the one I liked before I joined another site and they didn't have it and I started using the shi-painter (not the pro) Now I am more used to that one.

Your really getting good at this. Though I wish it wasn't so chalky and a little smoother. And those sharp leaves seem like an afterthought. Still, kee going.

This is good, one of your best, but it could be so much better. Do you know about layers? Try coloring on a lower layer and block on color that way you don't have to worry about going over your lines. There's just too much white. Take advantage of the bezier, circle and square tools, they can help you get nice curves (especially for the wheels and fender) you can clean up the lineart as well. And put in highlights and shadows, you'd be amazed how a simple highlight can transform a piece. You have more than enough space I encourage you to go back and work on this more with my suggstions (and they are just suggestions) and if you run out of space memo me and I'll grant you more. The best way to improve, as always, is with practice and taking your time. |
