the intention for this one is for it to eventually be an image for ze site. honest opinions on the doodles before i start lines? yeah her dreads are kinda roughed out still but meah.and as well im trashing my old site name. "shounens-eye" was funny in 9th grade but now a) im not really into yaoi as much and b) its kinda lame. i want something a little more serious but not all i-listen-to-flowers-cry. (lol someone on deviantarts interests include listening to flowers cry. i had to laugh.) any ideas? im not too lingustically creative. my vocab is teeny. lingustically was a stretch. and i probably spelled it wrong. hm.

Wow, this is a really pretty picture. I especially enjoy her expression, it looks like she's sitting outside, trying to see who's coming down her street. The hair rocks my face off, and the shading is supa-soft. Great picture!

This is my friend Ellie. She's all sad cause we're getting hit by part of hurricane Franny, and she's not allowed to play outside in the rain! She doesnt really have pink hair, but it used to be reddish brown. I thought this would look cuter if I gave her pinkish hair.

Illuvet*-stares at the bg- -gains a headache- The colors... they're so bright and neon-like... and the shapes are so random... But who says that's a bad thing? Well... maybe my aching head, hehe ^_^;;. Yet I still like the originality of the bg, and the colors fit strangely well together... either that or my vision got impared ^-^;;. The colors of the girl (probably you) are good and fit well, although you could've done more shading (don't mind me much when I'm on that topic: I'm somewhat obsessed on the quality of shading *sweatdrops and Koneko-sama rolls her (or his {snicker}) eyes* The lines could be more accurate, and although the color of the lips goes very well with the pic, I don't think the dots are supposed to be there... O_o I love the brilliance of the eyes, and although the font color could be changed, overall, I like this picture. ^_^ You're improving fast, Koneko~ ~Takeru P.S.: Do you want to know why I said *(or his)* in my above comment? It's because I don't think your profile is correct, telling other people you're male... *smirks* Well, I hope you corrected the mistake before you receive this! ^ ^;;

Ah... my first oekaki~ Not bad, ne? I already see many things I could improve in this picture, but I have this tendency to love almost every work I create ^_^. And I DO love this one, hehe.The two lighted symbols are chinese characters: the above symbol represents my chinese astrological sign (the ram) and the one near the lower left corner means the light. And I know that my sign and light have almost NOTHING in common, but those were the first two characters I could think of -_-;;. I love my bg: the design was a last-minute decision, so it was difficult to make sure that the original figure (the girl) and the 'stars' would come out unscathed... but I did it! ... I hope ^ ^;;. The transaction from gray to blue wasn't as smooth as I wanted to be, but overall, the effects are great, if I do say so myself. The lines of the girl could be thicker, but I don't really know how to do it... except the hard way >_<;;. And the shading... ah, the shading. Beginner standards, of course... but it came out better than I thought. I also did a few last -minute changes that are barely noticeable, but I think it improved the overall picture ^_^. Plus, that moon in the pic is probably the best moon I have ever done in my life. So proud... hehe. *sweatdrops* Oh yes, one more thing: "Yue Nu" means "Moon Lady"... just to clarify things up.

<.< >.> Sorry for not commenting on this till now, been alittle overwhelmed with all the new stuff since i got back. Aywhoo~ Its ironic how your first picture is better than any of the others. The shadeing on her kimono is really nice and the moons glow is also exicuted prettly. Try useing Airbrush or pen on your lineart next time, makes it smoother and enhances the feel of it ^_-. The only thing that bothers me about this is the Cloud/Mist stuff. You do know how to use layers right? The fact that it cuts off on her edges and leaves a gapeing blue hole is distracting. Her pose is nice and you could even have gone darker on the background blue for more effect. All in all this is definatly one of the better "first Oekaki" pictures ive seen. |
