Neat.! This is very different. The shading is awsome,. She has nice hair. It looks fluffy.
Merulotte (Aug 29, 2003)
Oh, it reminds me of a caricature I once saw! I like this style, muchly. It's a nice combination of the best of the Cartoony and Realistic worlds, and is capable of being quite humorous. You should keep drawing like this, at least every now and then. It seems you have a good sense of foreshortening, as well.
Good job, and please keep it up... ^_^
Einz (Aug 30, 2003)
looks like a caricature ,very nice shading on the face and hair
-

maybe some corrections around the lips and eyes to finish
only the hand seems a bit out of place
but overal this is a good picture
keep em coming

Yeah, this is good, like really good. Nice coloring, it looks like watercolor. I'm not sure if its s'pose to be funny, but it makes me smile. It reminds me of Plimtoons. er...Plimptoons as in Plimpton.

Death Clouds...
They only there in your dreams.
When you go to bed at night,
you may wake up in a fright,
because you'll be in the land of Death clouds!

You can try and stay still,
so as not to fall,
But a sudden movement,
could make clouds like sand,
falling into the eternal darkness...

You can try and hang on,
put your hands in the clouds,
But as the expression will go,
'put your head in the clouds',
you'll start to forget everything you know!

So if you lay down,
because your to tired,
You will start to fade...
and..fade...and...fade...

But the one true way to get away from the Death Clouds,
Is to close your eyes... Think happy thoughts,
walk to the edge of the clouds...and fall.

The next morning you wake,
Thinking 'who, what and where?',
But your mom's by your side
and you know that for you, she'll care.

Mkkmypet wrote that. She's my neice. I decided to use it for my picture, and the reason one arm is bigger than the other is because you'll start to fade, and his arm's getting skinnier, and that's also the reason why he isn't colored. "Because in thre land of the death clouds, there no such thing as color."

Well Lets see. Im eating some potato chips. And I spilled a glass of milk. Yup thats about it.
Merulotte (Sep 4, 2003)
You're getting better! Something I could suggest is looking for proportions and anatomy books/sites/resources. They really help. If you keep at it, things will go smoothly, of course. ^_^

*falls over laughing* *sits up, brushes self off, and sits primly in chair*

Your pants resemble mine. o__o Muchly shredded bottoms. *nod* Kick ass igloo. I like your hair, as well.
Merulotte (Aug 30, 2003)
I live in Canada! But I live in the places surrounded by cold, briney depths, y'arr.
Er, anyhow. I could make Igloos in winter. But since we're next to the ocean, it's a bit pointless if we get an opposing wind current. The snow would either melt and then freeze, or just be gusted away. Eeeee.
This looks great, now. I wonder who that Voodoo Doll is standing in for...
mazi (Aug 30, 2003)
shhhh.. >_> nobody i swear!

nah actually it was supposed to replace said problem that shall not be-named im trying to mentally strangle.. pah..
dragon_girl (Sep 3, 2003)
lol lol lol lol lol that is so funny it seems that most people that are from canada have a good sence of humor like my science teacher is from canada and she has a great scence of humor like today was picture day and when she was done having her photo taken she goes out side were my group is hudeling around the door and she says all autograph your photos later.

Woow this is great. Its so smooth.! Great job.
Merulotte (Sep 2, 2003)
It seems that Oekaki Shi Painter is the new most popular and widely-used Applet... Maybe it's just me, though.
The background matches the subject nicely, but... There just seems to be one thing that isn't quite right... Perhaps you could add a shine to the eyes, but it's really your picture, so it's also your choice. ^_^ Good work, though.

Hmmm Not bad for a first.! The ey is very purdy. Id say to put some shading on (or is the red the shading. Well Welcome again.
mkkmypet (Sep 3, 2003)
I think that the red is like a glow from the background. Shading would be good, but it's only the first drawing. -_- The lips are x-ellent.
dragon_girl (Sep 3, 2003)
its not that good you defenetly need to improve
Merulotte (Sep 3, 2003)
Dragon_Girl, it's his first try, and it's not like anyone should tell someone else to just improve. It's far more superior to tell them their mistakes, so they can fix them next time...
As for those... Shading, as mentioned, could be useful. In front of the eye, the head indents slightly, and then convexes outward subtly, just as it passes the eye to form the forehead. The nose seems good for a slightly more realistic work. The lips are fairly good, as well. The eye is normally an almondy shape or a slightly ovular almondy shape. The almond's tip ends on the side not facing the brow (forehead-rest of head spot, mentioned earlier) but it's a bit less sharp. The only other thing I see that could be added is hair. ^_^ Unless the person is bald, of course. And maybe an eyebrow (or eyebrows).
You're off to a good start, and with practice, your potential can be revealed.

Enter...the Corrigatrix. o_o
I like how he's just a big ol' piece of tree by-product. The expression is quite familiar, I must say. ^_^
Eliafin (Sep 3, 2003)
Lol!! That's funny!! ^_^ Still, he makes a very sexy piece of cardboard... O.o;;

Nice background effect. Very nice.
Merulotte (Sep 2, 2003)
Hm, I always did like Dragonair better than Dragonite... But I try not to use overused creatures, either way.
It's nice how it is slightly submerged into the water... It looks like a very cold climate in that picture. ^_^

This one is cute, too. ^_^ Do Bettas really come in many colors at once?
Fin_beast (Sep 2, 2003)

Doggy! ooo... o_O

Loving the eye. I like the sharpness of the angles on this, very nice indeed, and the sketch-likeness ^_^
Merulotte (Sep 1, 2003)
*still has a bit of trouble with finding the Add Comment link*
I remember going to a PaintChat where we all drew Anubises. (Anubii?) Jackal heads can be easy or hard, depending on how you draw them.

The lines are nice, and just sketchy enough. The way it was colored is also nice; as you never blurred it, giving it a more textured look. ^_^

Awww! *pets it* so cute!!!! The ears are cool and the fully little symbol below the eye! I like the gloweeness of the eye too. The texture on the coloring/shading looks really good. ^_^ *thumbs up* Awsome job!
