The water actually LOOKS just like water! It's amazing..
Harmanye (Nov 28, 2003)
^_^ Thank you, I was kinda worried about it; not spending vast amount of time underwater myself I wouldn't know very well how to draw it.
I'm glad you like it.

Where I come from, "lurker" means eyebrow, so this had me confused for a while.
Harmanye (Nov 28, 2003)
Lol. I've never heard that term before, I always called them eyebeows.
Of course, if you just came up to me and said 'Wanna see my Lurker picture?' my first thought would be Babylon 5. *shrugs*

o.O those bubbles are so cool, and i love the way that the light shines through the water

Yeah. More words.

She looks a little like a blonde grown-up Linderiel, but only a little.

very nice shading. again very peaceful.. the color of the grass and sky make it look as though its going to rain. (or maybe i'm just weird heh)
Harmanye (Nov 27, 2003)
I suppose the overcast-ness makes it look about to rain, I was going for a somber look, *shrugs*

Thank you for your comment and complement ^_^.

"Let me out, I thought this curtain the only barrier around.
But I put a steel wall behind it all."

Those black things are hands, hmmhmm. Those silver things are rips in the fabric.

Book Ghost. Teehee.
Oh, anyway. Comments please? (I know, I sound pitiful, but really, I'd like to have something, I mean. Uh. I'm blank right now)
BTW, I had this open for 22 hrs, but that's not how long it took.
Three hours at most; I like to mess around a lot, and I didn't feel like saving it unfinished anything.

yes it does look better, the drawing is well composed, however there is much free space above so i would suggest putting in a chandaleer with candles if u know what im talking about... and maybe you could make the ghost glow
Harmanye (Nov 24, 2003)
Glow. Hmm, I don't think glow would work, too much light from the fire to have more glowing stuff, wouldn't look right methinks.
There is a lot of free space, this I know and worry about.
When I start I don't usually know what I'm drawing beyond a rough idea, so my canvas size isn't always right.

Bubmp, bubmp, a chandalier, I don't know if that would work, they're rather Victorian, them chandeliers...
At least the ones I've seen are.
Maybe I can work it out, bubmp

Thank you Mr. Mikhail.

I like the lighting from the torch and the sconce! Are those trees outside or lightning?
Harmanye (edited Nov 24, 2003)
drawn in 1 hour 4 min
It's lighting, Ghosts always turn up when it's storming outside, remember?

*shuffle* Yeah. Hi.
Weel noo, I wanted to see if I could do something intermediate worthy... I guessed the best way to find out would be to upload something.
You don't have to keep it, you know. Well, of course you wouldn't if you didn't think it good, I know that. I'm smart-ish.
It's a mitten-glove, y'know. Because I'm bad at 'ands.

If you have red, dry eyes; try clear eyes. It relieves redness and contains ingredients to mosturize. Wow.

Uhum.
Hmm, Doodlibop, exactly what is Lark red? I always thought Larks were black.

Ehu. Yep.
RabidMalikFanGirl (Nov 18, 2003)
Erm... Maybe she made a typo and meant Dark Red??? Or maybe some larks have red breasts/wings/something like that? And you probably shoulda put this on the intermediate board!!!!! 'Tis awesome.
Harmanye (Nov 18, 2003)
*shrugs* that could be RabidMalikFanGirl, never thought about it, but the 'L' is nowhere near the 'D' So, whatever. I suppose there are lots of different kinds of larks though, and who knows, many ould be redish somewhere.
I don't really feel up to the intermediate board yet, and this was just a practice anyway, so what better place than the practice board? ^_^ But thank you for your comment, and thank you too, Doodlibop.

I only mentioned it since you said open to suggestions. :-)
I generally try to give suggestions when I can, so my posts aren't completely empty and pointless.

heea... Now lets see someone do pixel-by-pixel work with A tablet (and.or Oekaki shi-painter), and THEN lets see if they still hate mice (And.or lascaux sketch)...

that is cool. ish so renasaincie
Harmanye (Nov 8, 2003)
Marcello: Yeah, it kinda -feels- mouse-centric.

HJ: I believe its spelt renaissance. But t'is a silly word. Thank'ee for the comment. It seems there isn't much pixelworking around here, some, not much. Mostly on icons, obviously... I'll be quiet now.
raenboe (Nov 9, 2003)
I like your pixel-by-pixel work! I don't know how to do pixel-by-pixel art, but I think it's very detailed and I like the style. I kinda wish more people had detail in their pics like this (not necessarily pixel-by-pixel). A few people on this site do have great detail in their pics, though. Hmm. Great job!
Harmanye (Nov 9, 2003)
I have a headstart on pixelation actually, I'm what is known as a 'Doller', and I always pixel shaded. Except instead of just shading stuff, when I make this sort of thing I draw everything.
But too much detail makes a picture look 'Busy' of course, so one must be careful about that too.

Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it ^_^
