Take it as it comes.
------------

Ok... at first I didn't knew how to do carnations, then I remebered there is someone in this oekaki that is a master of them. So, I studied Deadly Blond Arcer's gallery. If I admired you before, now I most make you an altar Cindy (May I call you with your real name?)... the patience you most have to obtain such wonderful results, and your incredible talent!

After that line, you can call me whatever you want, whenever you want. ;) Yeah, sure... if you're gonna worship me you'll have to get in line, darlin'... take a number and go wayyyy back there. :)

(haha... I am SO being sarcastic... just in case someone took that seriously) I am very, very flattered, I don't deserve that much admiration. You're a very talented artist and you are sweet. :)
davincipoppalag (Jan 5, 2007)

Thanks for the compliments guys. And yeah, enjoydotcom, I did use a reference for this. I wish I could draw from imagination for this sort of thing.

Something for DBA to color. Have fun honey.

Setting it to finished because I need space in my studio.
He'll still be waiting for Cindy to color it. Have no fear.

I just loved what you described I had to change the title. :)

OH! fantastically colored DBA! I was afraid this was going to be left undone. *applause*
Sweetcell (May 12, 2007)
I had meant to comment when you were finished but so many pictures to look at and draw. He is boo-ti-ful hun, just a sweet sweet bear and seriously, your background is soooooo much better than the refs. It's so fun coloring aint it? Thanks for painting him, I say we do this again soon. Maybe..... TIGGER? My jumpy bumpy Tigger. :D

Just on a side note did you know Winni the Pooh was created after a real bear named by his owner after his home town? True story, a Canadian soldier in WW11 found an orphan cub and raised him and he became the mascot for his unit and he was taken with them over seas to London, but the soldier couldn't take care of him when his unit was called to duty so the London Zoo took him in and raised him. His story became known and the bear became famous, and one day an author brought his young son to see him and the boy fell in love with the bear so much, the author created a story revolving around this bear. The author of course was A.A. Milne, and his son Christopher, who Christopher Robin was named from. And the bear in the London Zoo that came across the ocean with his Canadian keeper was named after the Canadian soldier's home city, where the bear was found. The city was named Winnipeg, my home city, and Winni (Winnipeg) is one of our famoes exports.

Just a little FYI. :)

Bang, bang. . . she shot me down. . . bang, bang. . .
I think this is pretty neat! It belongs on some kind of political poster.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Jan 7, 2007)
I'd rather have it on a t-shirt... in sheer, soft baby cotton, specifically.

Contest Week 41: Cartoon Painting - 11 day contest Your goal these next 11 days is to paint a cartoon character in the style of a painter from the lists below. For instance, you might pick the cartoon character Betty Boop and paint her in the style of Raphael. I highly suggest you research the cartoon character you're going to paint and the style of the artist you'll be painting the character in. **You must pick from the lists provided below, if you break this rule, your entry will not...

An idea I've had bouncing around my head for a few months. Originally, I had planned it as a bat and a giant flea in a bar, but a mosquito and flea holding hands (legs? Hooked claws?) works much better to me. It's all fixed now, and I really like how it turned out.

I think the flea would have to be male, since it's only the female mosquitos who drink blood. But I'm not really sure. I know I drew it, but I have no idea in hell lol. Thanks for all the kind words :)

He's a son of a bitch through and through, I've had enough with this picture. But I learned what not to do. X) What was that one scene? That's how I feel right now.......

"I'm singing in the rain..." *boof* "Just singing in the rain" *bam* "What a glorious feeling I'm...." *oof* "Happy again....."
Miharashi (Jan 7, 2007)

Sweetcell (Jan 7, 2007)
Well thanks everyone. Klox that's what I did after your advice and saw that the eyes were off, and he looks mighty chubby but I'll definately use your advice in the future. Cindy you know what a coward I am using highlights and shadows, but I keep trying because you push me to try. Must not be a fraidy cat, must not be a fraidy cat. Always learning, never knowing everything. :)
