this is great thug, funny skull .awesome shadow under the frog, hey i think if you adjusted the opacity and highlighted the top of his head all the way down his back , it would give it that wet look to it. another awesome job!
_INGRID_ (Apr 14, 2004)

Just passing through (2draw is my home page (lol) on my way to do overly procrastinated paperwork, and saw you had posted this. You did a great job getting it to do anything, you're braver than I am... I hate the other applets. :)

Okay, I feel better about the whole thing now. lol (That reminds me of the time I ripped up all the carpet out of the house because there are these beautiful wood floors... my husband came home from work and I had dragged all the furniture outside and it was on the patio and in the yard, along with huge rolls of carpet.... lol)
Kloxboy (Apr 13, 2004)
HA, that's funny...thus the "HA", it's in the front of this sentence.

This was inspired by children, and spring. I still love to blow bubbles. I used to think I had to only do it with my children, and then until my nieces came over, but now sometimes I blow bubbles just because I'm happy and I feel like it. I don't care if I look silly. (My golden retriever likes to chase them, anyway)

Good Dang DBA! Where do you get all that inspiration from? All your pieces are wonderful and I especially like this one alot. BUBBLES!!! *pops 'em* :D
Aubrey (Apr 13, 2004)
I agree about the depth, it makes it look all the more realistic and it's very hard to get a grasp on. You did it just fine :-D I love the bubbles too. My senior class back in high school was a bit off from the rest of the school. We all liked the stickers the english teacher put on the tests.. all liked ourselves just the way we were without being fake (in my opinion made us even better)... and a whole bunch of us liked BUBBLES lol. They actually made a rule we couldn't bring them into school anymore.. before that they never had a problem with people even bringing them TO school lol. Whoever came up with the Edible bubbles.. great idea.. twice the fun with twice the calories! *sigh* those were the days.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Apr 13, 2004)
What a neat story, Aubrey! :) I always liked paper airplanes, and we could never do that... I substituted on and off for a few years when my kids were younger, and when I taught the little kids, like 3rd grade, I taught them to make these really cool paper airplanes and we flew them in class, and then took them out to the playground and flew them. (lol)

Hmmm does it count that when we were in high school we injected vodka into oranges and ate them in class? lol

This is a picture that tells a story without even needing one written really. There's so much action invested in it and yet it's only a snapshot. Very cool and very nice Poppa :)

My first try at drawing a facial pic. Her hair is way too 'yellow'...her skin is way too light...I definately need more practice! :D

Of course it isn't realism, but it's very pretty. I like it this way.
davincipoppalag (Apr 12, 2004)
You sure do them better than I do...

Summer is coming and it's going to be soooooooo hot here in the desert. We have a place here that is 35 miles north of Las Vegas that is always 20 to 25 degrees cooler. It's called Mt.Charleston, looks a little like this.

Hehe, looking good so far^^.The woman looks really well done with the structure, but the man looks like it still needs to be touched up some.Like davinci said, the eyes could be relaxed or in other words, not football-shaped.Actually, it's closer to a rounded rhombus shape and what you could do is pull the eyelid further over his iris and a bit over the pupil maybe. The lips could also use a division alone the center region because the bottom lip is just a bit too large compared to the top lip. Those ideas might do him some good^^.But hey, knowing you dixie, I'm sure you'll do a great job when it's all finished^^.Like I said though, looking good for being in process^^.

okay, i'm outta space, so i guess i'm gonna callit a day on this one...imagine a pretty bg ;p
Gigandas (Apr 12, 2004)
Looks like you got some time to work on it some more^^.This is looking better. His face seems more relaxed so that's definitely good^^.Hmm, maybe all it's missing now are the pupils. If you want, you could also define the eyelid more too.But this softness you got going on is nice, so you might not want to be defining stuff too much.Hey, it still looks great though^^.Very relaxing to look at.
dixielandcutie (Apr 12, 2004)
lol, okay, completely forgot about the eyes...pffft...maybe i should ask for more space and fix that stuff...*sigh* we'll see how much it bugs me in the next couple hours, hehe...thanks gig

Nice job, you two. I love the highlights on the dragon's skin. The background is nice, but it could stand a little more definition, and the guy seems awfully dark, which is alright, but I think he could stand to have some more highlights. Plus you've got your life source confused; some of the light seems to be coming from the dragon's eye and the background, but the shadows on the guy make it seem like the light is also coming from the opposite direction.

....just some suggestions. ~___~
