seeing as how im not really good at this i decided that i would try and stick with the basics. i am understanding that i cannot draw backgrounds and I understand i cannot get porportion and shading right. i cant even get the face's shape right. all my drawings are pretty if not VERY bad and i wouldnt dought it if i didnt get any comments on this picture. well dont be too hard on yourself. we all gotta start somewhere. maybe start practicing anatomy for a while might help. and even though i hate tutorials since they only teach you one style i'll give you some links to check out.

loomis online anatomy check the top links (theres nudity since its anatomy so if youre not cool with nudes might not wanna look at this one.)

and you can find tons from search engines as well but i mpretty sure this should keep you going for a while.

woah hold on a sec! ur pix are ur style! everyone's is different - don't compare urs to others and think urs stinks! uh-uh. ur style, ur way. i think this one's background's pretty nifty! do'nt put urself down!

...Not to be harsh, of course. Tutorials are one way of progressing, but they never worked for me.

I actually think the shading, tones and shiney-ness are good. The line-art itself needs to be improved somehow though. I like the mouth. O.o But the eyes are way off... I think a nifty background would help too. spend a little more time on it and it'll be great ^.^

This is Ryu. He usually has black eyes, but I decided green looked good for this piccy. I kinda used a source, yeah. This is a horrible piccy. I will finnish it later 'cause i am gonna go and watch Indiana Jones. Yay. *hums Indiana Jones theme* PURPLE!

I'm much pleased with the results. He looks kinda sad i guess. The backgound isn't really creative, The shading is skrewed up.(oh yeah.....i will draw Shuichi asap. But i need to aquire Shuichi drawing type skillz first.)

Its an elf, Its not very pretty, but I have not much time left right now... I spend a lot time on the eye, the rest is not very nice, but hey! I've made something ^_^

It is nice for a first, and the eyelights are pretty, but I suggest spending more time on everyhting instead of focusing on one item alone.
The necklace is very nice too, but you should prabably fill in the white in the hair and skin, and clean up your lines a bit. You're using layers, right? The blush is pretty cool and halftones are always neat. ^_^

Cute. Reminds me of the cat my Grandmother used to have. Only- Skinnier. Grandma's cat was sorta plump.
I like the penciled look this has, the pedestal looks out of perspective, But that could be just me.

Nice job; I like the perspective, and the idea. But the cat's head is too big. In all seriousness, if a cat had a skull that big, it wouldn't be able to lift its head.

and yeah i know the head is too big, it was supposed to be all cute and fluffy and cartoonish when i started, then it turned more realistic but i was too lazy to change things, oh well...
