Death Clouds

Death Clouds...
They only there in your dreams.
When you go to bed at night,
you may wake up in a fright,
because you'll be in the land of Death clouds!

You can try and stay still,
so as not to fall,
But a sudden movement,
could make clouds like sand,
falling into the eternal darkness...

You can try and hang on,
put your hands in the clouds,
But as the expression will go,
'put your head in the clouds',
you'll start to forget everything you know!

So if you lay down,
because your to tired,
You will start to fade...
and..fade...and...fade...

But the one true way to get away from the Death Clouds,
Is to close your eyes... Think happy thoughts,
walk to the edge of the clouds...and fall.

The next morning you wake,
Thinking 'who, what and where?',
But your mom's by your side
and you know that for you, she'll care.

Mkkmypet wrote that. She's my neice. I decided to use it for my picture, and the reason one arm is bigger than the other is because you'll start to fade, and his arm's getting skinnier, and that's also the reason why he isn't colored. "Because in thre land of the death clouds, there no such thing as color."

You're getting better! Something I could suggest is looking for proportions and anatomy books/sites/resources. They really help. If you keep at it, things will go smoothly, of course. ^_^

Actually, Shi-painter has (near?) unlimited layers, just copy a blank layer, the most I've used is twelve.

Blue, blue is always good, blue hair, blue clothes, blue blue blue, he does look a little slouchy though; too much curve in the shoulder, methinks, but whatever. He is blue. ^_^

I was just remembering a mountain scene I saw in the Muskokas (Canada). I needed a break from school work. COmments would be helpful on how I can improve.

The water looks very good, but the splashes seem too much like a sudden change to the water, there should be a little bit more of rughness before the actual wave. Also the lineart on the mountains needs some more work. Shii-painter or lauscaux sketch may be a little easier to use until you get better. But besides that, It's a lovely drawing!!

*nanashi the wanderer once again, travels to this unknown land known as 2draw. A primitive board, but an oekaki none the less. The lack of palets... the lack of a darkening tool... too intimidating for the Nanashi to stay too long. Soon it will be time to return to the Fernblossom*

Well, as for palletes, you can make your own, so there isn't really a lack, unless you're refering to pre-made palettes. Then there aren't any, from what I know. The darkening tools are the burn and dodge tools. I'm not positive as to which one's darken, but one's a lightening tool and one's a darkening tool. I'm pretty sure that burn is lighten, but don't take my word for it. On most it's burn and dodge but on the Paint BBSit's just darken and lighten. Hope this helps!

Yeah but not like a watercolor darkening. In the paletted version, the darkening tool darkens the palet, by lowering the colors' numbers to make them darker. it does it automatically instead of mathimatically if that makes any sense x.x

Yeah. It makes sense. Unfortunately we don't have that here on 2draw. It is still a great place to draw, though! :)
