Just a quick start, I did one similar on sketchfu but couldn't finish because of the lag issues, wanted to try on a stable site where I could enjoy and maybe finish it this time.

It can still be revised , It's pretty good Kathy, and I agree it needs lots more splash and spray at the base.

Hi Kathy - I thought this looked familiar so I had to take a closer look. Glad I found you here. In this one the water at the base seems too 'still'. The other version you did is more 'alive' somehow.

Very pretty rose, but I think that dotted frame takes away from it.

Yeah I wasn't sure about the dots either Dave, hmmmm maybe I will take them out. It just looked too plain with just the rose so I thought I would experiment with the dots. Live and learn....and lots of experimentation! :o)

great drawing technique here. She looks very deep in thought. I kinda like the colors....play around a bit and see what looks best, but I do like these.

I thought tree bark. The colours and the not-quite-repetitiveness make a great texture.
