It looks like a fantasy flower, then I look again and the top glowing thing looks like an aliens head. So many possibilities. Did you ever get on that art book? Weren't you doingone or am I thinking of someone else?

The new theme of my upcoming artwork is ethnic diversity. A stylistic element of these pieces is that the eyes will not show. The project, I believe, will remain untitled.This piece, Sunstar, was just a mere product of insomnia. Enjoy. :D Besides some shading nitpicks in the central area of the face, there's not much left to do on this one; almost complete.
Omitted the idea of eyebrows; calling it done.

Inspired by the famous you-know-who. 1958Here's the ref: http://www.virtualdali.com/58MeditativeRose.html I realised that my imagination is no better than my attempts at realism and so, since Dali was the first artist that I quite admired for his style, I thought I'd give my 2 cents on one of his famous pieces. I was gonna do "Persistence of Memory" but I didn't think it was even possible to duplicate. Well, I tried.

aw I was hoping you'd keep your eyes on the rose petals! that's the BEST part ('cause it wasn't my idea anyway hehe) but thanks mooki. I figured a stem would be necessary on this. And Axil, Sweetcell, GoldDragonfly, lori, elly, DorsY, and UnWanted: I didn't mean to ignore your comments. I should specify who I'm thanking for next time. In fact, I'm glad that some of you mentioned the other part of it besides the rose. I know how easy it is to compare it to the original, in which, I'm usually in favor of. And I was waiting for something to blurt out, "Dali!" 'cause he's the man, really, duh. And Sweetcell, glad to know there's still ppl here who remember me. :D |

mookie, you do such mood pieces, I love them. I agree with wiz, it reminds me of one of the dead end kids or a london turn of the century pickpocket from David Copperfield, edgy and tinged with mischief. Very nice work dahling.
