Well, the hand on the extended arm does look like it needs a tad bit of work; mainly in between the fingers and each of their lengths, and possibly the wrist showing through the end of the sleeve which I'd try to eliminate at the angle that it's in. But other than that, it's mostly pretty damn amazing.

-I also wanted to say, you, Priszcilla, and Silvair should collab sometime :). It'd be like the ultimate anime drawing here.

I just noticed you have this in a Decent/Good folder... if you don't have an Excellent/Almost Perfect folder, you should make one promptly and move this to that. I am really, truly enjoying watching you do this.

Yes, that happens all the time. The thunder shakes the house, so I turn off the computer and go around the house unplugging everything important, and then just as soon as I finish, it's gone and everything's fine-and-dandy again. Then by that time I've lost interest in the picture for the day.

I have surge protectors on things, certainly on my computer, but I lose my dial-up connection frequently during a storm, and if I lose my connection during a submission to 2-draw, it corrupts the data, you get that red thumbnail x, and if I remember correctly it won't load for revision at all. Also, the electricity goes completely out at least once during every bad thunderstorm, and, well, that loses everything you've done for sure.

Yeah, I should just get some surge protectors instead of unpluggin' everything, I suppose. Some things in our house have them, (like our main computer and our TV and such) but my laptop doesn't have one...; I should get one for it soon.

Not to rain on your parade or anything, as it is clear a ton of work has gone into this, but the coloring in this completed form bothers me. I think there may actually be too much detail. Or more accurately, unbalanced detail. As a result, the whole image is flattened, and the sense of depth that was apparent in earlier versions is lost. At first glance, someone might not even notice the hand in this picture.
I am not sure what the solution is, as you can give a sense of depth in a number of ways. Blurring, removal of detail, or overall work on saturation/contrast/value.
Anyway, I challenge you to at least try these, even if you don't submit, unfortunately shi-painter is not as forgiving/capable when it comes to editing of that sort.

Oh phooey dewey, Marcello. She's 13 years old and this is an outstanding work of art, if she were 13 x 3 I would be just as impressed with it. Besides, rained on parades are the best... the crepe paper on the floats bleed and all the color runs together, the "fair queen" gets all wet, her hair gets stringy and her mascara runs, and all the piles of horse manure get really wet and people step in them.

This is one of those pictures I could stare at for hours and never get tired of, because of the sheer amount of effort and detail that went into it, and how it just glows with brilliance. i can see what cello means, i felt that the hair distracted me too much. i think to blur areas and add a bit more contrast to the shadows in the dress would make it better, but i still think this is the best anime on the site.

I actually like her most recent collab is better than this, as an overall piece. There is detail here, and that's impressive, but it's overwhelming and as a rseult detracts from the piece. It needs more balance and focus, something that can ironically be added by removing detail...

It's an awesome piece with lots of detail. I really like the colours in the hair. Although I think its lacking unity, possibly because of the colours. There also doesn't seem to be much depth. Overall still nice though.

I dunno, I disagree about the details detracting from the piece. I kinda find myself looking all around the picture with the big circular patterns created by the skirt and partially by the hair. Also, if you take a look at some of Giger's artwork, you'll find way more detail 'cluttering up' the piece than this.

in addition to gig's comment, i think the overdetailing is saved by the circular composition. It's v easy to just keep looking round and round. i've come back to this pic 4 or 5 times, and as for comments, i could only find 2 other which have more. even niels own pictures don't get this many

actually, gig, that picture you linked has little detail. a repetitive pattern like that is not much different from a solid color.

i love the detail in this piece, it doesnt confuse or distract me. as well i love all the colors, i think they compliment eachother brilliantly. its fun and full of action. it is what it is. i notice the eyes and the hand first,my eyes move around, notice the clothes, hair, boots, jewels and come back to the hand and face. if someone doesnt like a particular piece, and offers criticism, it is yours to take or leave that criticism. please don't think that they are always correct. but be open to seeing their point as well. you can't please everyone all of the time ;)
