Wow, this is great. It's amazing how much high contrast in a drawing can really catch your interest. I think what needs to be pointed out here is how you put much effort into the tiny details such as the pores on the cheeks and the roots of the hair.
Unreal, this is truly amazing. I was wondering how long before one of your pieces was selected for a Showcase......and sure, you can do incredible work like this in where someone has to look twice to make sure it's not a photograph, but can you draw a once busted clay pot held together by duct tape? Congrats, I'm in awe.

completely aside from your wonderful pic, i often laugh at how an elbow looks like a third breast when its viewed from ^ that angle. like i often get pictures from parties etc and ppls elbows sometimes creep in the side of the pic and yea, thats what im talking about.
the more i liked besides all the good stuff in proportions and color and shadows and etc...it´s how the figure pop up from the background its almost touchable...very nice work terracotta :)

I could have sworn I commented on this. How could I not have commented on this? I think I did but I didn't send. This picture is so amazingly rich in all aspects I'm surprised it doesn't have more comments. I mean from the skin texture to the hair, the earring and bracelet, the little folds of skin, even a beveled edge on the mirror. The nose, lips, hands, especially as someone pointed out, how you made the left hand blurred to show motion. It's all perfect. It's pictures like these that make me feel like an amature, and that's alright. Makes me try harder. Beautiful amazing piece and beautiful amazing talent Greta.
Weird. Most of my old stuff is gone and I still can't draw. What version of Java do you have to have installed for the drawing applets to work on this site?
Yea a lot of stuff got lost in some server change he did.. I'm using the current java.. but my applets just stopped working with the latest Firefox update..however they still work using IE so far
