and awake to find that you're not there....
...........................................
It's sad, so sad
such a sad, sad situation
and it's getting more and more absurd
......................
What do I do to make you want me
what have I gotta do to be heard
what do I say when it's all over
sorry seems to be the hardest word

I like it at 75% zoom, but there isn't a setting for that on the editing page, so I set it at 50% (pssst... Marcello, why isn't there a setting for that image size, and how difficult would it be to add that feature?)... the actual size is just too large for viewing, I think.

Please keep in mind it isn't finished.
sincity (Dec 8, 2005)
Wow! looks great! :} The whole thing is perfect.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Dec 8, 2005)
Not yet. :)
sincity (Dec 8, 2005)
didn't notice it was unfinished. :}
Gigandas (edited Dec 8, 2005)
I say, 'DBA needs to finish this one ASAP' :).
davincipoppalag (Dec 8, 2005)
You do such amazing things with eyes,Cindy. This is beautiful..
nekodesu (Dec 8, 2005)
This looks so amazing o_o The texture on the skin is great and the iris is just perfect.
Although 75% looks pretty good, I prefer it 50. :P
lycene (Dec 9, 2005)
Very, very pretty. I love the color variations in the eye. I agree with Gigandas, I can't wait to see this finished.
Gigge (Dec 9, 2005)
This is coming along nicely. One thing I notice on this and some of your other pics is that you seem to use a single pixel width brush and try to draw every strand of hair, which looks a little bit stringy. It might good to try using a 2 or 3 pixel width brush with a lower opacity since we don't see every strand of hair. The hair actually winds up looking thinner than the 2 to 3 pixel width brush because where they overlap it forms more strands.

The blue shadows you have going around the eyeball are really nice. Now stop crying and finish this pic!

peace love and happiness
DinoFlorist (Dec 9, 2005)
Whoa this is very detailed! I love to see all the fine lines on the face. I think this is very high quality workmanship!

lots of distractions during this revision
LisaAnne (Dec 9, 2005)
This is one of my favorite pieces by you. The subject has been done before, but you gave it a little different edge...I couldn't say exactly what it is, but I like it. Its almost not emotional in the fact that its just about real, but yet still just a computer image. Hah...don't mind me I do not make sense. Anyway I like it, and its pretty. :)

lots more distractions... had to just leave it sitting for a while
I think I'm just trying to mess it up now, I'm good at that, so done.
I was just looking at the size and wondering why it took up so much space... I was too lazy to go in and merge the layers, guess I should do that. shrug... maybe later

TaCO (Dec 9, 2005)
Cool Eye Boogers!!!!

O.O The time you put into this!!!! Well worth It, but you'll never see me spend that much time on a pic.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Dec 9, 2005)
really, I never spend that much time... I just want most of you to feel like lazy slobs, so I paint my toenails and brush my hair while the revision is up. hah

kristine (Dec 9, 2005)
this is really pretty. i want to see you use shi so i can watch your animations. that would be awesome!
but anywho, very nice cindy, keep em' comin!
DeadlyBlondeArcher (Dec 9, 2005)
I tried to be interested in using something else, but so far I hate everything but Lascaux.
kristine (Dec 9, 2005)
i dont see how you use it i cant use it at all ive tried many many times but i just cant...get it...i dunno i must be stupid. i cant even comprehend how most people on here produce such stunning work when i cant even draw a face without not knowing how to do a watercolor effect. this kind of stuff just gives me so much more respect for the process of art.
DeadlyBlondeArcher (edited Dec 9, 2005)
Well, I didn't know how to use anything before here, and initially I tried all of them. (what I could figure out of them, anyway) Lascaux just seemed to perform the best for me. It seems to me to be more like real mediums when I use it, I forget it's an applet. (and thank you:)
fleeting_memory (Dec 9, 2005)
cool bubble in the tear-makes it look very realistic. The iris is beautiful as well. I could list all the wonderful things about this picture but then I would just be discribing it and you already know what it looks like :) Awesome job DBA
Miss_DJ (edited Dec 9, 2005)
What do I do to draw like Cindy....
What have I got to do to be great?
What do I say when it seems unlikely....
guess being just ok will be my fate.....

(oh I just had to write another verse of my own..lol)
this is incredible...and thanks for the tip on how to apply eye shadow and liner to look fantastic even when I'm crying...lol

Anna (Dec 10, 2005)
I just love the skin tones in this! :-) The tears are excellent as well! Yay for Cindy!
xiau (Dec 10, 2005)
This definately deserves a showcase. It's extremely detailed, right down to the air bubble in the tear. Amazing.
SYTHE (Dec 11, 2005)
I'd love to be able to achieve this level of realizm. Top notch work as always!
darkshadow (Dec 12, 2005)
those are some big tears
who told you NO!!
i really like the the colors used in the eye
and like the hair
Renuar (Dec 12, 2005)
most definatly one of the best eyes to date. awesome.
Opium (Dec 12, 2005)
beautiful eyes! how do you get so much detail in such a small area? very nice
Creature201 (Dec 21, 2005)
Everything is so beautifully detailed, but the tears kinda bug me, they seem to have color, when they should be clear, but, everything else is just... Perfect.
julietjuniper (Dec 26, 2005)
how do you do this so fast? you're superhuman! i love it.
Deino (Dec 29, 2005)
This is one of the most impresive drawings I have seen in any oekaki board... the level of detail, the colors and the tears, Oh, those tears are extremely well done!
Deadely Blonde Archer... you are a god.
