Thanks, all, I'm truly flattered. But I feel that the only creativity involved in this was setting up the shot and deciding what means to approach realism by... it's mostly an exercise, not an end. I might come back to realism in the future, but I really don't see it as becoming my style... I'm much too opinionated for that, and I see it as only fair to be honest (obvious) about having a bias towards a given subject. Besides, the main reason I made this was so I'd have a kickass user icon. ;) All in all, still, I'm pretty pleased with my first delve into realism; it turned out a lot better than I expected. I can't help but laugh at myself every time I see it. IM TEH CAPTIAN KXTHX

I just liked it. I believed it. That lil pointed chin on the right side makes me want to see more of it? Love the use of shadows and background technique. Clear and Crisp edges too and that drew me in..

The mirrored shades are of particular interest; the distortion of the reflection was captured beautifully. The shading on the face is also particularly eye-catching.
