Eeeee. It never turned out so well. Anyway, to the left, is Myraila, the Ruler of Cerulia, chiefly the Glacina Region. To the right, is her sister, Neptulia, who demands to stay as the carefree princess that she is. The head shapes and faces turned out horrible, I must say... Anyhow... I hope it's alright. It's meant to look like a framed photo or portrait.|EDIT| I keep looking at it, and thinking of the good things about it, but I might still delete it...And then learn more on headshapes. Curse you, head anatomy! |

hhmm nothing.. i just want my coloring looks like a water color.. see images it looks dirty.. i use blend opacity and blured in lascaux.. to have a water color look.. actually im poor in coloring :D |

My first submission to this board, and also my first "oekaki". I've never really messed with PaintChat or the like, and the last time I fiddled with "mouse art" was in my 11th grade Business Com. class. Ah, the downtime in there was fun. We messed around with M$Paint on Win95 during downtime. -Ahem- Anyways, like I said, this is a realative first for me. And I've suddenly decided that I need a tablet, because if I continue to do this with a mouse then it would be more like masochism than art. That being said, I'm still rather pleased with the results. I didn't do anything fancy--just messed with the tools and colors, one layer. Princess Serenity from Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon. Anytime I test out a new medium, I use the BSSM characters and draw them in my style to do it. And...this is the newest result in the newest media. My RL media style doesn't really translate to this very well, so I'll have to create another one to use on this board. I like a challenge.

DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING AGAINST SAILOR MOON, METHOD3?!!!!! Sheez.... I've liked the manga and the TV show since they first appeared in the U.S., though I've only ever gotten to read the first 4 comics, and only been able to see the first three or four seasons of it. I really like your interpretation, Bara_no_Hanayome, and I wish you the best of luck in getting a good tablet.

Alrighty. This is something for Gothic Otaku. I noticed they had some problems with facial proportions, so i hope this wil help. You said you had it styleized, so i tried to stick with some styleized props for you. I hope that this helps.

Eh, that is true, isn't it... Hm. I should have thought of something better...Oh, right. A two handed gun and a one handed gun... Both with the same power... One just makes it somewhat easier (compared to quicker tablet). Yes. >_> I'd think it's easier to color with a mouse. Or it would be for me... But then again, I've never used a tablet...

let me be the first to say that this drawing is a horrible example of anatomical proportions, i can't even clearly read what's been scribbled around the head. what exactly are we supposed to be getting from this? if you want to learn about proportions, please find a better place to learn about them.secondly, i use a mouse. i blame everything on it, and i don't have to justify why i hate it because everyone has a different style, you can't just slam people for one reason or another about what they do or don't like to use. so suck it.

Although I didn't do the coloring, I'll defend it. Technically it doesn't defy them. As you should know, light isn't omni-directional, it comes from many directions and bounces off things. Thus, if you have something thin and far away from the ground, you'll have diffused light from different directions easily getting around the stick and thus no shadow forms. As you can see the body's shadow is blurry, a product of the diffusion. If the hand is that faint and shadow so blurred, then the stick won't be visible at all. The real questoin would be why the shadow is behind him, if the sun is also.

ok, so my question is how can the proportions be off if it's some kind of bat furry thing? and about the picture itself, it'd be nice to see a background on this other than a few scribbles and filles and stuff.

Well, since I own the game (awesome game, BTW ;P) I know what she looks like. There aren't many off proportions either. The boots are kinda short and chubby, and her face looks a tiny bit strange, although I can't grasp what it is. Good job, otherwise! :) |

it's either the blend tool or a hell of a lot of layers or just 150 opacitiy. I'm guiessing 2 layers and the blend tool. am i right? am i right?

You're all wrong. I just used tablet pressure on size/opacity. and a regular solid non-antialiased brush.

hahah, Marcello just pwned j00. This reminds me of a 5-10min gesture like the kind i've done in art studio, only really exaggerating features of the face. i also like the charcoal feel, again which reminds me of gestures. |

i blame the mouse every chance i get. heheh, this would make a great user icon too, good job.btw, just because you're drawing on the practice/beginner boards, doesn't mean you are a beginner. practice makes perfect after all.
