School isn't that bad...

I'm having trouble with this...so I'll get back to it later...anyway... high school isn't that bad... my friend Avery kept telling me though how many girls he wanted to go out with... then stopped and said..,"I'm going to hell aren't I?" you can't really go to hell for that can you?ahhh... never mind...so how have your school days been?

School's fine, it's Spanish class that sucks. XP I can't remember any of the spanish I learned the year before, so whenever the teacher asks me a question, I always go, ".........que?" She repeats what she said, and it doesn't do anything for me. I mistook 10 for 100 in Spanish recently...

Hope this doesn't sound too stupid but can you only buy tablets online? Or are there places or stores you can actually buy them from. I've been looking around but haven't really found any...

I thought I might have needed more space than on intermediate that’s y I posted here if any mods c this & think it’s crap feel free to move it...not much else to say...my hand hurts...*yawn* Edit: Ur right mazi light & shadow can make or break a pic. I went back & shaded the face a bit more. I think this came out pretty good considering that I’m self taught ^^. Thnx 4 the comments people XD

you could have posted on intermediate and asked for more space there. as it stands this is pretty good. my only complaint would be his face. it lacks definition. seems there should be more shadows and highlights according to the bg. reminds me of this drawing by estrigious.com's mel.i think you have great potential and could do a lot with a little more study on light/shadow. lighting effects can really make or break a pic.

This is my first piece; it's a portrait of a famous actor (I hope people recognize him) using a reference. I will appreciate any feedback; I am especially interested in skin and hair coloring.

Yes, not a bad likeness, but I agree with mazi.. the proportions are off a bit.. also the face seems a bit too long overall? Good skin tones but you might blend a bit more?Thank you for your comments everybody =) I tried to fix the jaw lines and blur the skin tones, but like you all said, my original pencil sketch was a bit skewed and made the face a little too long. I am afraid of tinkering with it anymore, as I am getting close to the size limit.

You did a great job, the length was the problem but I think that comes from makin the nose too long.. so naturally you wanna make the rest of the face propotionate, but the nose bein long throws it all off. I've had that problem too. Always makin the nose too big to start it seems.

excellent job on the texture on the statue. i don't know if you meant for the red to look like flame, but right now it's wispy and sketchy and thus looks more like motion-blurred photography of some red neon thing. the sword is pretty creative but looks unwieldy (perhaps a longer handle would help?) and the texture seems lumpy instead of shiny. i'm interested in seeing how this turns out.

Thanks for you comments and suggestions, Zack. I'm definitely going to change the sword, but the fire...well, I'm not going for any sort of realistic look...or any look in particular. I usually let my stuff "draw itself", heh.

yeah i think this one should be brought up a notch to stay on the advanced board. of course, it is still unfinished.I became tired of this old thing so it's now my little study of how light looks to the eye or something. Not like I'm trying to teach myself how to draw properly! (Oh my god her tit looks huge, but don't tell anyone, okay?)

well its not happening to the rest of us, so it could possibly be something obscure with your java or browser. though i doubt it? sometimes that happens. im not really sure why. make sure your drawing is completely submitted before you do anything. and if youre really worried about it, take a screen cap (hit print screen on your keyboard and paste into an image program) |
