Or atleast.. I think it's finished... It's me in the summer, I think I should really put some highlights from the sun into my hair...
Nightmare (May 7, 2006)
Its called critisism. Their point is that you need to practice more and improve. This isn't a place to get grabass and make friends. Get a Myspace/blog for that.
Deformed (May 7, 2006)
Who's penis are you holding?
Wild_Mustang_Girl312 (edited May 14, 2006)
i agree
Deformed (May 8, 2006)
Wild Mustang, your opinion isn't really taken seriously by anyone at this point, due to the hypocrisy or your last comment. :P |

This is my first time using layers. I think it turned out pretty well. As everyone can see now, I love llamas!!!
Sweetcell (May 20, 2006)
If your going to spend so little time on a piece and only practice then don't submit. Work harder and actually look a ref to get the proportions lighting and shading right.
Wild_Mustang_Girl312 (May 21, 2006)
Emily, you're 12 so.. yeah. We all have our strengths. i'm better at drawing animals. You can draw people. Other people can draw realism and some can do all of that. I'm not that good at this kind of stugg. I did put effort into this, I jsut have no strength in realism, I'm better at other things.
NOVEMBER93 (May 26, 2006)
age doesn't matter....i can't draw people (or anything for that matter) and if you're not good at realism then don't draw or submit it unless you think it actually looks good. it's that simple
Wild_Mustang_Girl312 (May 31, 2006)
You can draw Emily. Trust me you can compared to me. I thought this looked good to me, and people put me down too much. I was doing a practice on this, but thought it turned out okay... I just think that I'm too self degrading and people hate my drawings too much to even care if I put effort in it.... |

I was thinking electrical..now you say spring.. I see a strut.Let me be first to say DUH..
staci (May 6, 2006)
shock..absorber. right.it looks much better at 100 or 50%..its pretty pixelated right now : /
Mal (May 6, 2006)
Thanks for all your comments, I havent actually got all the proportions right Staci :p it doesnt quite look like the ref i had to take out one of the coils on the spring and hope no one would notice lol. Drawing people can be very tricky especially things like hands :-s I suck at linking
Axil62 (edited May 6, 2006)
I'd say this shock absorber is probably for a softail mountain bike. Edit: then I check the ref and see it's for a motorbike. Well done. :) |

An elephant never forgets what you say to it, so watch your mouth or they will getcha. I like the dark greens, and the light gray outline. |

Ouch. Perfect word. Ouch.
Miss_DJ (May 5, 2006)
ok so how DO you grab the colors off the canvas? I see little 'blobs' of paint people have on the canvas sometimes and wonder how they do match it perfectly each time. I just usually do a lot of guessing/checking myself.
Sweetcell (May 5, 2006)
Miss D right clicking on the colors does it. It's like the dropper in Paint. I do sometimes make little color blobs but if your shading or blending then the color blobs won't match the painting. I think it was discussed on another piece Marcello drew. If you have a tablet the button on the pen can pick up colors too. *smoochies* |

What an eye you have. A simple picture full of simple shapes that are oh so tasty to the artistic eye. I really like your use of washes, and watercolor style.
Deino (May 5, 2006)
The subject is simple and interesting, totally unespected too! You are truly admirable Axil.

Just a word of advice, its not always best to ask people what they think. Some people on here can be assholes. Including myself.
Just practice and your skill will come. (My work is not skillful or really inventive on here, but none the less that's how I feel)
