lycene (Sep 19, 2005)
My favorite method of transportation, myself. Just hitch a box up to the bumper... This is awesome, I like it a lot.Worked on mudflap girls, shadow on box, reflection of gnome hat in bumper and thats about it... poo

This is for all of those who have been saying that there's been too much anime lately. ;PThe cross hacthing is really hard to do with a mouse. o__O Can someone tell me what using a tablet is like? I've heard so many different things about it ranging from they are the greatest things in the world to they're not any better than a mouse. Oh yeah. Ref. "Drawing the Living Figure" by Joseph Sheppard.
Desolate (Sep 19, 2005)
Definately not anime... I wish I could do something like this my problem is I have neither mouse nor tablet and must resort to the stupid clumsy finger pad on my laptop... This is so good and I can't wait until its finished, but I am puzzled by how it can get better than this...
Seklyan (Sep 19, 2005)
oh completely excellent.
broken-lock14 (Sep 19, 2005)
*sigh* I wish I could create artistic things like this. Actually, I think a lot of people complain about anime not because they don't like the drawing style of a person, but because they often create completely non-artistic and unoriginal drawings, like hyper cartoon females with a title like "some girl" or "random". Good artists might draw something like this occasionally, but doing it to excess irritates some people. Though to tell you the truth, I find anime art to be an uber spiffy style. But that's probably because my drawing style is based off anime *shrivels into a ball terribleness* D= I feel like one of those non-artistic and unoriginal people now....Oh, on a side note, I so want to try out a tablet (anything would be better than the mouse I have).
Caddris (Sep 19, 2005)
Heh, I draw anime-esque characters a lot too, so please, don't shrivel into a ball of terribleness. Anime is just a way of simplifying features and a lot of its appeal comes from the crisp lines and coloring. It takes skill to find the one perfect placement for the one perfect line. Sort of like Hemingway for artists. XD I would oppose with my whole being anyone who argues that anime is non-artistic. |

Wow. I really like how you've used the white to really highlight how expressive her eyes are. I really like the soft variation of colors in the background. Very cool. |

lycene (Sep 16, 2005)
Funny... Maiko's right, when you squint, the teeth blur into lips. Maybe he just wants to kiss you? In any case, very cool pic.
Aubrey (Sep 16, 2005)
Scary fish for sure. Unless those teeth are really rubber and he just massages his prey to death lol Quite the way to go |

Such a shame.. all that trouble ... in the name of religion...
lycene (Sep 15, 2005)
My great-grandparents were burned out of their village by Protestants. Not really important, but an interesting little tidbit on the subject. I love the fire; it's really well done and I love the contrast between the brightness and the detail of the fire against the empty black of the figure and background. |
